Pearl Abyss wanted to sell CCP. Is this still an option?
Can we (as gamers) buy CCP? Let’s just do it plz
If high sec is not considered for players at all why are there some event sites?
Why force people into pvp?
Sure you can say “EVE is PVP only” but why? Why not both?
I just flew through the lowsec pocket from Egbinger to Klingt, every system has multiple event sites up, and only one system had anyone in it besides me.
There is very little reason you can’t go to low sec to do PvE while avoiding PvP entirely apart from just keeping an eye on local.
Basically every system I flew through looks like this.
I could get into so many reasons to promote leaving hisec to improve your gaming experience, but the above reply with visuals & proof saves me time.
Besides, I’d rather spend my limited time to game enjoying said game instead of trying to convince those who’d rather not leave Concord’s crib.
I think I know what is going on here.
As soon as one event site is completed it spawns somewhere in the same region.
As more players do the content in high sec the sites re-spawn in low sec over time and stay there.
High sec players can’t find any more content in high.
Makes sense.
Thank you very much. I don’t want to go to a pvp area. I play something else. The game does not have to match my “taste”.
Thanks again.
I go to null for some activities but not for the “event sites”.
I can’t see why someone has to go … ah, I just turn away. Just sad but the rules are the rules.
I don’t care about loot. I just want content. But I don’t care about the eve PVP either.
The game does not be tailored to my play style.
But I don’t have to play (and I already haven’t for months)
I think the limited even sites are still a “bug” though.
Thank you for your input. And sorry I’m very frustrated about EVE after this experience.
Cu for the winter event. Let’s hope for more content in high.
Source?
All of Eve is a PvP area. If you’re undocked, you’re in a PvP area. The rules of engagement vary a little bit, but going to low or null and avoiding PvP is trivial.
Well considering you didn’t use the reply feature how are we supposed to know who you’re talking to exactly?
Sounds like you were flying around in the wrong space at the wrong time, you’ll need to travel off the beaten path and avoid hubs because those will be full of people, had little issue finding sites today not long after DT and i was even around jita lol
I don’t have to explain.
You don’t have to explain.
We all know. Salt does not help.
Thx anyways.
The game is the game. We can decide to play or not. I just wanted to know if there is an option for me. If there is none …well…. o7
“wrong space at the wrong time“
Yeah, might be.
I probably don’t want to spend my free time making 50 jumps. And yes, that’s not the game’s problem. If it doesn’t fit, then it just doesn’t fit.
I still assume that’s not how it was intended. Basically, CCP would want the sites to respawn quickly. It’s obviously unpleasant that the sites do end up in high-sec pockets. I don’t want to play at 3 a.m. either.
As I said, then it just doesn’t fit. There are other games. CCP probably doesn’t miss me either. Thanks for your answer. o7
And they do respawn quickly, but if you’re wandering around busy space you’re still not going to see them, the sites have to be rare enough that they still hold value and fast enough people can keep moving around
I think most of them are collecting in high sec pockets and are not re-distributed till someone goes there.
Works as intended I guess.
It’s okay. I’m not forced to play.
Thx again
o7
I agree 100%… And yes, the cans do explode after failing a second hacking attempt…
I tried it on an Alpha character with over 16 mil SP’s, scanned down 3 Event Hacking sites in High Sec space and in one of those sites, I forget the actual name of it, a damaged NPC spawned which then turned into another can making it 4 cans for that site… Total amount of cans for those 3 sites was 10 and out of those 10 cans I was only able to successfully hack 3 of them…
This screen shot of the Hacking Grid for one can is actually less typical compared to the others I tried, almost all of the other ones I failed had even more defensive nodes…
Those High Sec Event Hacking Sites are definitely not Alpha or new player friendly… I’ll try it again on this Omega character, my main, in a bonused hacking ship and see if it’s more doable…
As for the Agency Event rewards, they’re still lackluster and pretty much worthless… And even though the amount of Agency points needed to complete the event is lower than before, which is a good step in the right direction, making the sites tougher to complete actually makes it tougher to get the points and complete the event…
So yeah, I’m currently thinking this event is a major fail…
Thanks for the review DMC. I think I’ll just pass on this “event”.
I think it is designed for Omega accounts using Neural Lace ‘Blackglass’ Net Intrusion 920-40
Analyzer Virus Strength Bonus: 20
For alpha accounts it is more like “You can do it from time to time with a lot of luck. Do you want to buy Omega?“
OK, did a quick run on a High Sec Event Hacking site with this character, my main, which is Omega with close to 400mill SP’s…
Had no problem hacking the cans on first attempt in my T3 Loki Cruiser fit with the Covert sub system and the Frostline ‘Clavicula’ Integrated Analyzer…
So yeah, the High Sec Event Hacking sites are definitely not Alpha / new player friendly… In my opinion that fact alone makes the Event a major fail…
Are you saying High Sec is a newbie zone?
Might be true!
It’s nice to see see some hacking chalenge remain in the game, it all became trivial once I started using the Zeugma + Blackglass combination.
The Hacking sites can be done with a regular T2 Data Analyzer and a Metamorphosis/Astero. Or are you also saying that its unfair for Alpha Chars that omega getting better daily login in boni?
