Iā€™ve just gone and looked it up.

$640 total, from Patreon. Since july 2016 when I set it up. (Averages about 23 a month or so. Sometimes better, sometimes worse.)

I first was elected to the CSM before that. I started up the patreon just after I started market.fuzzwork.co.uk as Iā€™d set that up on a new server.

Over that same window, Iā€™ve paid ā‚¬1330 to one hosting firm, for one server, and ā‚¬744 to another. The Euro trades a bit above the dollar (for the whole of that time period). So my net income is significantly in the red for it.

So if I was doing this for profit, Iā€™d be really dumb.

Reading this, thats hardly a surprise.
But I am, nonetheless, subbed on 2 alt accounts.

Prove it

Oh grow up.

Anyone with a single drop of sense would understand Iā€™m not complaining. Iā€™m just pointing out there are expenses over and above what CCP pay.

heh.

The only reason Iā€™m mentioning it, is that Salvos appears to think Iā€™m on the CSM to make money.

Iā€™m not complaining about spending the money. (Though I do think itā€™s useful for prospective CSM member to know about. If money is really tight for you, the CSM is likely to be problematic.)

You are CSM, yet have refused to report how much cash you have gotten via your Patreon account for the duration you have been CSM.

Youve also shown you dont care that we as players have paid your repeated trips to Iceland, stay there in hotel, breakfast, lunch and dinner, many times over, with our sub money.

Is this somekind of joke to you?
Do you not realize what this says?

And you appear to be unable to read.

Salvos is ā€¦ Salvos.

Either way, itā€™s something of a topic which is a Door in public discussions, thatā€™s all. As for the practicalities, it really is CCPā€™s responsability to brief potential CSM candidates properly.

He literally said the amounts 2 posts above?!

Nowhere yet have you reported how much cash you have earned via Patreon since you have been CSM.

You legit crapped on the expenses paid with our sub money for you to go to Iceland, for 5 years, with us paying not just the flights, but your hotel stay, breakfast, lunch and dinner, in a very expensive country.

I didnt vote for you, but I did pay for the above.

Is this scotch mist then?

(and in an edit: not dinner. a dinner. as in, the other nights, weā€™re fending for ourselves. This is the bulk of the expense.)

So you are earning money via providing a 3rd party service external to EVE/CCP, from which CCP earns nothing.

Meanwhile we pay your trip to to Fanfest with out subs.

Now keep on reading.

Because ā€˜earning moneyā€™ suggests Iā€™m making a profit.

(and to be clear, what Iā€™m doing is clear by the terms of service.)

Heā€™s not eligible anyway

Apparently he would get 2 votes which is actually more than I first thought

I never said you are making a profit.
Just that you are earning money on a 3rd party platform (from unknown donators), which CCP makes no revenue off, but involves their IP and API (and our) data.

How many trips has CCP paid for you with our sub money?

Q) Am I allowed to collect donations from users of my application?
A) Yes, as long as they are purely voluntary. ā€œDonationsā€ may not be mandatory, and you cannot require a donation to unlock premium access or special items.

How convenient for you.

None of us know what part of that might have been payoff to swing your influence as a CSM.
