Daily junk

If that were truly the case all they have to do is untick “show daily gifts” and they’d never see it again. instead people just want MORE or want the good stuff without the rest not realising, or caring, that “the rest” (which they consider junk) is not necessarily junk for other, newer, players.

Ah, thanks!

Sadly you can’t “untick” flashy red numbers, popups and other invasive garbage that comes with it. Funny thing is, that you bitching hard about people wanting valuable stuff from DL. But somehow your are the only person bringing it up over and over.

If you untick “show on login” you won’t have to deal with it on login and if you don’t accept them so they won’t show up in your inventory, then right click and disable button blinking and the problem is solved right.

You’re not getting any trash, that’s exactly what you wanted…

It still shows the red ‘you have new stuff available to claim’ icon on the gifts button in-game even if you disable blinking and hide the rewards screen. AFAIK that remains even after inventory badging became optional, since I see it for accounts with the red dot disabled.

Oh yes but that’s in the bottom left, non-intrusive. I’d say that the chance of people actively being annoyed by that is FAR lower than people using this reasoning as an excuse to get more stuff or not have to deal with what they feel is “junk”.

My initial point stand: they just want MORE and/or don’t care for some of the items so if they don’t like it others shouldn’t get them either. It’s egocentric and greedy.

Several players have specifically explained that they find this irritating in the Evergreen thread an other feedback threads about the DLRs. Just because you feel it is unobtrusive doesn’t make that true for everyone, and it is a valid complaint - just as much as the ‘I hate the red dot on my inventory’ complaint was valid.

well only difference i saw in Alpha in Omega rewards was ME and TE % of the BPC’s nothing different and thats not “that great of difference in my opinion” so that doesn’t make any actual difference in “importance” of them in my opinion

I’m not sure what exactly in my post you are replying to. I wasn’t referring to anything being important as an alpha vs omega, or even on the event daily login campaigns that we see periodically (like the Guristas Hunt event that just wrapped up).

Why are people trying so hard to make this topic seem like an outrageous request. Who cares?

Do agree. I think this subject was talked over many times already and i doubt they’ll change it, still more of subjects like that will apear from time to time. Well the kinda umm common knowledge thing is that they won’t give us good stuff for just logging in, as i said before you can just redeem those items and thrash them if you don’t like them that much or send them to ppl who might like to use them or just collect them as 'useless login bpc’s " etc like i do myself.

I agree, we should be able to opt out of the junk. SP is fine of course, and let people who want it have it. Just a small ticker box to opt out of BPC, skins, or boosters

I don’t need the junk but pile them up nevertheless to give them away later. Maybe someone will have a use for them. I recommend everyone who don’t personally need them to do the same, even if just for the gesture of goodwill in a harsh dystopia it might be a worthwhile effort for the benefit of some random new player who will feel less lonely and make their day happy (until they lose their ship :smiling_imp: or even afterwards to cheer them up a bit).

This. I throw mine at Mike’s Magic School Bus periodically, or dump them in the corp random BPC hangar for folks to play with.

Auto-Injecting boosters/skins is Auto-Idiocy.

I do agree here, well actually i’m person who is willing to take those bpc’s from everyone who doesnt want them just to increase the “worthless bpc collection” but when someoen in corp needs to build something from those i have no problem donating it to them. Sometimes even this small present can make someones day. That last part about ship loosing is kinda ominous gonna pretend i didn’t read that XD

On one hand you got a point there with option to just check out what you want to receive and what you don’t want, but in my opinion you can just give stuff you don’t want to someone else or literally just jettison it somewhere while leaving station. Of course you could just trash them but i belive it’s better to jettison them so maybe someone who finds it might be a bit excited that they found something interesting.

It is one of the key points of my EVE guide as well…

Losing stuff is part of the game and getting used to it is is the best solution not to ruin the experience. Once you no longer fear nor get upset from losing stuff you can truly enjoy what EVE has to offer with all the positive and negatives just like when reading a book or watching a movie both the negatives and positives contribute to the fun experience.
