[December] UPDATED: Jump Fuel and Jump Fatigue Cap changes

No isk is Sunk if it gets transfered to another player. So in that aspect it is a useless change that only makes capitals more of a hasle to use

It seems they just want everyone to become Goons, doubling the logistics cost will kill some small alliances and means nothing to Goons. Learn from your Rorqual change mistakes (look at the mining in Delve), think hard about this one before you implement it.

Why not just let the market correct for the decrease in demand for ice products? Some number of ice miners will decide itā€™s not worth their time and do something else for ISK. Supply will drop and the price will go up and eventually stabilize.

A free market is an auto-correcting system. Heavy handed changes like only throw it out of balance.

I guess we can say goodbye to fitting enough fuel in a FAXā€¦ did you think of that part? Probably not

You can fit the same effective amount in a FAX as you could before the isotope changes. People managed to fuel their FAX before, they can do it afterā€¦ did you think of that part? Probably not

Fozzie is the overall game designer - he is more than the messenger and he makes the decisions or approves decisions.

I would have preferred this. Itā€™s called feature completion instead of patchwork expansion. No one would be waiting for the rest of the features if all features are released at the same time, be this later or earlier. And this would have been a perfect solution because it would be feature complete instead of a constantly evolving patchwork of annoyance.

Maybe they could make ice gender neutral, but at the point of refine an additive would be needed to create racial isotopes. Or maybe they simply reduced the native volume of regional isotopes but added small amounts of other racial isotopes.

no, before the change you couldnā€™t fit enough fuel and stront to mid more than once and have an extended fight

Will this be affecting t1 industrials like badger?

I can empathize with you there.

BUT:
Consider your mistake a lucky one. You made a Quality of Life change that EVERYONE loved.

Now you just need to figure out how to rebalance similarly elsewhere in a place that makes more sense. The impetus is correct, only the specifics need adjusting.

I am so grateful for these changes, as they make Delve even more secure, productive and valuable. Being that Goons sits on 2 racial ice types, you make life easier on us. The changes to the fatigue does nothing to stop us from blotting out the sun with caps, cause we just rotate out alts to keep jumping on everyone who comes in, and farm the topes for that locally.

If you are in a small alliance or corp, trying to eek out a living in null or lowsec, Goonswarm is always looking for active corps to join us. Find out what a true empire is like, donā€™t be a slave to someone else.

Keep it up Fozzie, you never disappoint us with how your changes always work to make our lives easier while making our enemies lives harder. The powerhouse that is Delve production shall only grow from this.

Do you mean Lead Game Designer? Because no, heā€™s not that. I mean, even assuming features released by one team are solely designed by that one team (They arenā€™t), heā€™s one of two designers on Team Five 0.

only issue i see with this is that it blops fleets already focus on just using the BBs do to the fuel it takes to bridge anything. making it even more expensive is going to hurt that. could you at least look at making the cost to bridge from a blops to be reduced? even if overall it still costs more than now just not as much as this change will make it?

Whilst some updates can be deployed independently, other updates have linkages that need to be deployed concurrently - the reduction in volume and the doubling of fuel requirements are an obvious example of linked features that should have been released at the same time. Both seem fairly minor updates, I dont see why either of these is inextricably linked to Lifeblood and why they were not released at the same time.

Also, if you want jump freighters to actually be used post patch, you should look into fixing high-sec ganking because otherwise it just wonā€™t be profitable to run them.

Of course this is happening. CCP wouldnā€™t ever do anything nice for the players like halving the M3 of isotopes without slapping us around by doubling the cost to jump. Thanks CCP, I really needed a good ā– ā– ā– ā– ā– ā– ā– .

No. You arenā€™t supposed to be PVPing regularly. Everyone is to move to Delve and mine as that is CCPs preferred gameplay.

amZEROkDOTTE is recruiting.

Iā€™m not against these changes per sayā€¦ but holy christ on a cracker man, youā€™re really killing us with the timetable on these announcements. But either way can we at least get a larger fuel bay? I feel like weā€™re getting a nerf without cause here.

Because you decided to give hardcore industrialists a couple weeks to milk the market on refineries instead of letting us pre-build them weā€™ve barely started recovering on the that side to actually build thingsā€¦ now you want to (again) arbitrarily double the cost of logistics during a transition period? For what?

Also the Jump Fatigue cap reduction is useless for any l small-midsized group. 4d blue or 5d blueā€¦ roughly the same.
