DED agents are removed. Why?

Because high sec players are not allowed to get any new content? Because CCP want to force high sec players to join Trig invasion?

First

Because they are ded

If that is CCP’s plan, it’s flawed. It only works if we can’t leave, which of course we can. That or just not participate in it at all. One should never underestimate the amount of stupid CCP can bring to the table, so it may very well be their plan.

Do you want to be more specific about what agents are removed from where?

Your guess is as good as anybody’s since we’re not supposed to know what will happen with the game we pay for every month.
And asking ‘why’ doesn’t help anything, HOW is much more constructive. Besides, at this point, I doubt even CCP knows the Why of many things in EVE.

Players cannot change the game but can vote by their wallets.

What is a DED agent?

I have to imagine they did it so as to make the DED LP store really only available to those who kill Trigs in the invasion systems. I think there were CONCORD agents as well and they have been removed too. There are no mission agents for any corp in CONCORD.

Per the patch notes they should never of been available! I have no idea how long they mistakenly were though

I’ll bet @Archer_en_Tilavine knows.

I have no knowledge of or experience with CONCORD faction mission agents (DED, etc). They’ve never been requested by USIA or its predecessor corp LCSIS in the past 2 years. It is possible but unlikely they were requested in the 9 years prior to that in USIA’s other predecessor corp TSCA, but you’d have to ask @Imiarr_Timshae.

I was under the distinct impression that there were no DED or Concord agents - and that was one of the big problems with maintaining balanced standings. Half the null sec pirate missions have you shooting DED rats, which tanks your standings. I thought there never was a way to get those standings back.

I have a hazy recollection about Concord agents. Back in the days of yore, our sec status went up to 10.0. Then CCP capped it and told us that we could only get above 5.0 by running missions for Concord agents . . . except that they never got around to introducing Concord agents, so nowadays you almost never see anybody with a security status above 5.0 (5.1 if they went for the COSMOS mission).

I don’t know any of this firsthand. I am shocked that the co-head of mission grinding doesn’t know anything about it, either.

The entire standings system needs to be scrapped.

I honestly cannot think of a “standings” system in any MMO that I haven’t hated.

Short for Dead Code. Agent.

We are immortal. Unlike the money-grubbing afk miners, who burn out, scrub out, or fade away.

CONCORD has no storyline agents, so even when those missions were still a thing, you could not repair CONCORD standings via missions - it always has been a 100% unrepairable faction. (InterBus is another “dummied” faction… they have regular agents but no storyline agents OR even an LP store - what is the ■■■■■■■ point?)

Who would want to run Interbus missions anyway? Boring squared. At least The Society of Conscious Thought could have some role play behind it.
