This. Giving Alphas access to anything better than plain T1 Cruisers was a bad call. The grab of the highsec markets by the nullsec superpowers is heavily fueled on Alpha-alts.
So, there were no bots before f2p? Multiboxing, more or less, involves enough code that you could, reasonably, if not legally, make a claim to botting for all but the one ship. When you can issue the same command, virtually, simultaneously, to six or so clients, you’re basically ‘botting.’
We saw this in Warcraft. I tried out the software, made me 4 resto druids, and basically was unstoppable. I could run any bg, the smaller ones, like arathi basin, controlling 2 groups of 2 healers, and the larger ones, massive healing 4 at a time, on the move with the group.
I could literally ‘win’ every game. Big deal. It was obvious, and everyone knew it. Sure, some little punks tried to stop me, but 4 healers, in a group, in a game where, unlike here, you can’t get on a chat channel, and get them into the bg as reinforcements?
Nah. Come off it. If you attack botters, you have to attack multi-boxers, too, don’t you?
Open two windows. Press alt tab.
That’s the simple version. Now add multiple monitors, resizable windows.
And then you can get special software to show only parts of a window.
Mining is fairly low apm per account. Eve in general is which is why it’s easy to multibox.
Some if those groups probably are cheating one way or another. It’s a valid complaint but takes careful watching. If 10 of them all activate lasers at the same instant every time, it’s probably some form of cheating and worth reporting.
If there is a couple of seconds stagger, it’s probably a good multiboxer.
If there is loads it’s probably a slow multiboxer.
You’re bordering on racism there, mate. We’re living in a global economy and we don’t have any need to point out where somebody lives, or is from or isn’t from.
Anyhow, I still remember my first L3s and I had a good amount of fun with those. I didn’t even want to go into L4s, because everyone was only arguing based on ISKs, but not necessarily on fun factor. L3s were for me the peak of the fun and L4s is where the grind started. The fun with L4s came back only after I went into a Marauder, with a bit of faction gear and many of my skills at level 5.
While I’d be happy with giving Alphas access to everything does the reality not always allow it. That’s just how it is… Pigs don’t fly, chickens don’t moo, and alpha accounts get abused by botters.
I’d say your entire argument anchors on the fact that you (specifically) don’t get to do L4s with your Alpha account any more and so that’s why you hate the change. Try to see the bigger picture instead. CCP tried to let you do L4s and botters f’ed it up for you. Blame them, don’t blame CCP.
Beeing forced to bot as an omega makes it way more costly to bot because you have to pay and cannot simply make your 35th alpha char of the day if you get caught…simple as it is…
I don’t think that’s true. A botter starts as an Alpha, earns enough ISK to RMT a real income. The L4-5 are cut off from Alpha, so botter adapts by PLEXing their account as Omegas to continue playing L4-5, and with the ill gotten ISK gains by buying PLEX from in-game market. Sure, now the botter has to split their earnings between PLEXing and RMT, but they are still playing for free, making money, ruining the game, while the honest Alpha willing to give EVE a go is flamed as a freeloader. Who’s the freeloader here?
Not everything you don’t get is racism fact is racism as it is seen today does not exist because we live in times in which everything you criticize about another country can be accused as racism which is total BS.
It has to be allowed to call crap crap and not beeing hit by the racism hammer.
The solution is simple here…first of all cut off alphas frome every income that can be abused and second cut their wallet by 25 million, the rest goes into an account with acess only as omega…
SWTOR does this and it works…if you sub you have acess to the full sum on your wallet,as non payer your wallet is limited to 350k…
First of all you wouldn’tt have enough money on your wallet for that and to avoid this hoarding you wouldn’t even be able to buy them(part of the restriction for beeing an alpha)
And secondly would you please enlighten me and tell me which federal law states that a non payer has the birthright to experience the game as a whole because he is a non payer?
The opposite is the fact…a non payer should not even get the dirt under the fingernails of eve before he subs…
As i said…the alpha restrictions are way too low and should be intensified.
