Not sure if unlikely in this specific case, but actually total normal procedure when a company buys out the other.

They will use him to introduce a new CEO to the job. Bussines as usual.

He probably has a 12 -24 month retention contract as do other senior executives to basically ensure a smooth transition and at the end of that time he will announce his retirement.

Well it’s not true isn’t it mate? With huge amount of plex where can they get mines and station structures to accommodate them selves? It’s not about the money by it self tho, it’s about the environment they built to accomodate all these events with game mechanics, therefore in player scale it’s about collaboration and participation.

Mate that sounds very scary tho

Not any more, take look at wow and BDO and you’ll see Eve future, you are payed customer only not content creator.

The only reason a company buys another company is if they can see potential profits.

so logically you can break this down. absolute best case scenario:

  1. They push EVE development in hopes they can re-spark a growing playerbase. Despite the trend of stagnation. In practice this would require significant development changes and a push for more diverse game-play. Supplementing this with diversifying the paid for parts of EVE. IIn short expect more skins and even payed for visual hull variations of ship classes.

worst case:

  1. they go full tropic thunder. Pay to win style boosters, ship mods the lot. Did you say loot boxes? no? well to bad. your getting them. did you say brand sponsorship? that raven will look great i coca cola red. What? you say you want to roll play interplanetary pizza boy. No problem with this spinning pizza radar dish and dominos livery.

thats basically how this ends. Or and most likely number 3. some ones cooked the books and made CCP look far more profitable than it is. and when they find out its a stagnating one hit wonder they strip it for every usable talent they can

You are dinosaurs go ride to sunset and oblivion, your time has passed

hey hey bye bye …:laughing::laughing:

Well I always think eve has a long run to go yet, with technology advancement it would some how meet its need tho, I thought the original McDonald creator sold his share very earlier at 1million dollars back at 60s if the years correct, but now seems 1%of its annual gross worth 100 millions.

I wonder if PA knows what kind of total utter crap they bought. CCP’s coding and software is the worst of the worst that I have ever experienced.

Right now, the chat server is buckling under the load in Fade. I was in a system with 966 people in system, when it in fact only had 16 in system.

And yet here you remain…

Rare.

Existing shareholders are loathe to have their stock split to an otherwise un-invested entity coming into ownership by them, of their company.

Its an extreme last resort and very complicated to handle in terms of stockholder interests, both legally and in regards to deciding on the buying companies future choices regarding that acquired company.

Lets say I own 100% of CCP, and you buy CCP from me, but I end up owning stock in your company. Suddenly I’m there owning part of your company and you have to deal with me as part owner, though you bought ALL of mine.

Yes, because there is nothing comparable. Tell me something that compares to EVE and I am out.

What does this even mean??

INTO THE ABYSS WAS SUPPOSED TO BE AN EXPANSION NAME, NOT A DESCRIPTION OF HOW EVE ONLINES FUTURE LOOKS LIKE

Mate I think any one commit crimes in empire regions would be punished with reducing security credits as status dropping towards it, and once they done their penalty they politically becomes changed man and be allowed to travel thru until next conviction happens, its a decision of their own to commit further crim not the mechanics allowing them. That could back up your argument to it

Eve online have big POTENTIAL, but did not utilize because of incompetent and lazy Icelandic managment and developers. Under new management or they will wake up and start work or they all will be replaced.
