So i just logged in. Opened up the new Agency 3.0 to see a system with 5 signatures 4 jumps away. I travelled to that system and scanned down the sigs. A couple data sites and a relic site. I grabbed the loot and went back to base. 50 mil ISK estimated value. I played for 20 minutes. How exactly has this not changed exploration?
Isn’t this a good change? You’ve just made 50m in 20 minutes and now you can go do something else instead of mindlessly jumping through a dozen systems for an hour hoping to find a good one.
Well I’m sorry then. And I can understand defending that system, it sounds ok.
But in this system when I see other people going on about (obviously till now granted) “pockets no more” and “discovery” at the same time, even adding well being of newbies, when all they care about is their routine being less easy because of that, and lol at the same time saying game is getting too easy, then wow. Come on.
And it’s even better - there’s a finite list of systems I can see but no actual map in any way.
It’s only worth 50mil now. Exploration is now so easy the loot will be more plentiful on markets and the price will drop significantly.
[citation needed]
So you think other people will ignore systems like that? Those systems will wait for you to log in? There always will be some of those systems?
Or maybe it couldn’t be done before judging by how system is placed on the map?
Or maybe it couldn’t be done before depending by how deserted the region is?
Faster now sure. For the time being. And taking DT spawning sites into account.
Let’s see how it changes. With the amount of whining in this thread it’s bound to change isn’t it?
The funniest is the biggest whiners of this thread will start to rely on this to stay competitive.
Same people who used to “discover” pockets.
I do faction warfare. There are bots that swap sides in order to farm LP. Currently there are a lot of bots farming Amarr LP and the items bought with Amarr LP have tanked in the market. Heres the price history of the Imperial Navy Infiltrator. See what hapens when an item becomes easy to acquire?
What does this have to do with Exploration? Are you telling me that current Exploration bots will… just continue to exploration bot due to this change?
I said the changes to exploration will make the loot more plentiful and the price will drop. You asked for proof. I provided proof. This doesn’t have anything to do with bots. I’m simply saying when supply increases, price drops. I honestly shouldn’t need to provide proof of that since it’s business 101.
It’s not easy to acquire in exploration when everybody does that.
Supply and demand, as you say, there’s gotta be some people who will move where they can find most sites.
What are we even talking about here? People unable to find sites before? Sorry what?
And I have yet to see someone writing about legit exploration bots. Last time someone did he said they stay aligned out. When you need to stay 5000m close to a can to continue hack. But they were “always aligned out”.
And I’m saying, [citation needed] for that claim. You threw out some nonsense about Faction Warfare bots which is unrelated to this. Why would being able to see various systems across New Eden with Signatures suddenly cause loot to become more plentiful?
People who weren’t interested in Exploration as their primary activity aren’t going to suddenly go whole hog just because they can see one or two signatures in a system 9 jumps away.
You do need to provide support that this will actually happen, not that the concept exists.
GUYS WE SHOULD REALLY START A PETITION, MAYBE IT WILL HELP!
we as a community should stand together! this is how the wow community got their classic Servers and blizzard did say that classic will never happen! and now the classic beta test is live!
same stuff can work with eve online! ccp doesnt pay us to play their game, WE PAY CCP TO MAKE THE GAME A FUN EXPERIENCE!!
i really hope that someone from ccp is reading this thread! if they really change exploration like this it will damage their product and so it will damage their $… even a little child can understand this!
Read back just a few posts. I’ll summarize
“I don’t get the big deal. Its not like people can see where data/relic sites are. Just which systems have signatures”
“I just logged in, flew to a system with several signatures, and ran a few data/relic sites. I got an estimated 50 mil ISK of loot in 20 minutes without much work.”
“That’s a good change! You made lots of money quick! How is that bad?”
“The value of this loot will quickly diminish since it is now so easy to get”
“[Citation Needed]”
hahaha xDDD
You’re just saying random things and hoping that there is enough ■■■■■■■■ that it sticks to the wall, but you’re lacking any real connection between “people can see Signatures in the Agency window” and “Exploration is dead”. Do keep spewing this nonsense though.
Overall, this is a great change, and in about 2 months, you’ll be relying on this and glad that CCP implemented such a useful tool.
And judging by how the conversation goes so far, 2 months from now he will still ignore things pointed out that don’t match his belief and are uncomfortable to answer. But hey he scanned 1 system right after DT, minutes after changes were implemented. My God Eve is doomed.
well this is what the carebears want!
easy mode, gettin good loot and alot of money with less effort!
this is how most mobil games work, if ccp follows that route eve will lose most of its population in the next few years.
the devs need to understand that most of these casuals who want the game to be retarded easy are just a ‘‘loud minority’’ and that most real gamers love and miss hard games were rare loot that u only get with alot of effort makes u feel good and special! (i miss this in most mmos today)
u see it with the exploration change, !!!only 2 People!!! seem to like the easy mode change, all the others in the community hates it! if ccp only change the game because 2 carebears like the change it will hurt the game and the community and in the end it will hurt ccp $
ccp really needs to learn from this!.. but i dont think they will
I’d like the “community” being able to logically prove those 2 carebears, or at least mine points aren’t valid. But last guy who tried grabbed what was suitable for his e-peen and went off without even attempting to reply about the rest of the points. Maybe you can do hmm?
Let’s start with how possible will it be to find those “easy way” juicy systems when everyone else is doing that? You can’t see people even migrating to different regions over time for that?
And how exactly does the gameplay change in the rest of the systems? Keep in mind sigs can be dozens of different things in several gameplay categories and Agency doesn’t show what the sigs are.
I will do my best to come back to this thread at the end of July to post price history of several items found in data/relic sites. If there is no change I will be surprised but nobody can argue with actual price data. If there is a change I will post the smuggest emoji I can find!
All good, I’ll be more than happy to see prices as well.
