Who cares about crying? But it is entirely CCP’s fault in publishing a direct (and unnecessary) accusation against a real human of breaking a legal contract with them. There are consequences to careless, and potentially injurious public speech like that. They could, and should have been more circumspect about asserting what they did.
CCP is accountable for their speech and actions like everyone else. The autocratic control CCP likes to assert in-game has limits, and those limits are rapidly reached when real customers and their reputations are the subject of CCP’s words.

No, just because the CSM members were voted for, it doesn’t make them more important.
The CSM membership requires more maturity, thought and responsibility from them, for their own action.
It does not mean they are above the law (EULA).
In fact, their treatment should be more strict and punishment more harsh, because of their status.
Because they represent the community and because they broke the trust of the people who voted for them by playing a foul game.

What you are describing is making a losing case to the courts. A case that will tie up an already backlogged judicial system with frivolous claims; a waste of taxpayer money (judges, justice of the peace officers, court stenographers, etc.), and delaying hearing cases worth merit.
You should try to make that argument to the innocent people waiting to have a fair trial in a courtroom, or families/victims waiting for justice.
No one in their right mind cares about the elite RMT speculation leaks club that the CSM really is.

Oldschool Runescape already has a voting system for members. Devs suggest a change and members get to vote yes/no/skip. 95% of suggested changes get voted in though and it’s a bit of a joke among players that devs know their poll system is broken and do their best to keep it that way.

If you look really hard… you can see CCP taking some of those things there kind of seriously. Even if you do “not care” you have nothing to lose by placing a vote come election day.

Enjoy it while reading through these posts. That aside, It is great to hear the investigation is on the way and if there was unjust bannings, this will be corrected. We all make mistakes, some of those posting above should try and understand the irony of their posts.

PS: If there is a ‘clear and present danger’ action can be taken before the judgment. It is nice to see the investigation uncovering the inconvenient truth.

As a gamer, I would like to see the game company can focus its energy on designing, building and testing the game I love to play. It is such a waste of precious resources when the game company has to deal with politics and legal matters arising from an pseudo democratic mechanic when some of its players bite back. The game company should review and evaluate the pros and cons of CSM and see how CSM should be restructured or simply be gone. EVE is a great game for gamers, but it is more than enough to see this kind of politics going back and forth between some players and the game comapny in the past few years.

Someone snitched on Brisc, someone who would win from his dismissal and account closure, the csm are friendly to each other but with daggers on their back.
And I also think CCP handled this situation very badly, like you put this guys banning on a pedestal and claimed ‘we did it we are champions against cheaters’ and celebrated on reddit with no subtlety and lack of professionalism on CCPs part, it was the media controversy you guys were after all along as usual.
