that is exactly whats happening, the talk is leaning back towards the “Titans shouldn’t be able to kill sub caps, but sub caps should be able to kill titans” garbage that knocked the ship down from what it was supposed to be in the first place
mh take of 500k from rorq skills each Extractor and put back 150k each… sounds legit
No one is saying that a BS should be able to solo a titan. And yes a sub cap fleet should 100% be able to take down an unsupported titan
We aren’t talking about this patch. This patch is perfectly fine, but if they do intend on repurposing the rorq to be only/mainly for boosting, they need to do something for the rorq pilots. They did it for faxes because they understood that entirely re-purposing a ship wasn’t fair to the players who trained into it.
ccp expected you to expect this, you should have used the december event booster that allowed 3 full skill injecters to be used
The thing is though… you can still very much mine with a Rorqual after these changes. It’s a 20% drop in mining yield on excavators. It’s still the best mining ship out there.
Yeah it’s unfair that players who trained for a Capital Industrial Command Ship got a Industrial Command Ship.
If they weren’t mean to mine they should have been allowed to stay back in the pos in the first place.
They didn’t do that when suddenly boosting ships had to be on grid and the usage of them drastically changed, and they shouldn’t do it for rorqs
The other big alliances could do what TEST/Legacy have done: put on their big boy pants and actually work to get their ISK. Their income is coming up pretty well.
Also, when you say ‘the other big alliances’… who are you talking about?
I mean, let’s just look at some numbers here:
Delve: 11.1T (that’s us: 35,243 members)
Esoteria: 4.463T (That’s TEST: 16,250 members)
So we’ve got… 2.17x as many people, and we’re making 2.49x as much money.
Per capita, we’re making 115% what TEST is making.
ZOMG. How massive.
I’ll refer you to the lower part of my post.
Whoever made this phantastic collection of random bullsh… cra… struggling for words “not so funny things” needs help. srsly. Blink twice if you re held hostage by some ganksters. Put a “CCP_” in front of your nick if you have no idea what you re talking about.
Can’t emphasize the “unsupported” part enough.
Um, I’m not sure where your numbers are coming from… but my hulks do 37m/s x 2 lasers and no drones. They don’t use the Michi implant. That’s 74 m/s. A 120m3/s rorq is not 3x that number. With the new boosts, if you max bling a Hulk + Michi you will be looking at around 85-90m3/s per ship. A little more than half of one Rorqual with zero siege timer and off grid in 11 seconds. That fit is around 4b~ ?
TBH that was only cool when there was 1-10 titan’s in the game, like when BOB had its first titan it was amazing but if no change was made then in a few years time when everyone and their granny have one then everything that is not a titan is not worth flying. That would be a crappy version of eve and I’m glad it didn’t get that far.
They still will mine more than 2 max yield, Rorqual boosted hulks. So their purpose as a mining ship still exists.
o7,
What will happen if I have Faxes to spare (like I would be a big entity) and form a counter force of armor Fax to a shield super fleet or vice versa that starts repping the primary? Will this neglect the fax support of the defending fax fleet?
Asking for a friend.
Kthxbye
Uhm… why? Just… why?
Why should they be able to give boosts out of complete safety?
if it’s unsupported, sure, should it be defenseless against subcapital attacks in that scenario? no absolutely not. these ship are supposed to represent the pinnacle of firepower in eve, there shouldn’t even be a sub capital fleet that isn’t afraid to attack one. that withstanding, if you tke away haw guns, and make titans easier to kill for subcaps, cause they can hardly fight back, you might as well take them out of the game entirely, and up the price on jump bridges to 100 bill.
It’s almost like off-grid boosts were removed for a reason or something
