Isn’t living in null for the sweet loot’s a calculated gamble aswell, ship’s get nerfed all the time and when you have been hearing people complaining for the last 6months about rorqual opness and knowing that it’ll get balanced but still continuing to use it become a calculated gamble as well, risk / reward in all thing’s you can’t expect the reward with 0 risk that’s just not logical and I mean risk as in outside your control as well.
TBI the only ones that will benifit from this is CCP aka Pearl Abyss with increased subscriptions and plex sales. 1. From and the ones who will sub just to kill a cap because they were hard to fight before and now much easier to stand up to and 2. from the miners and ratters who will need to buy plex to supplement their income due to it not being as profitable anymore. Just my opinion folks. o7
Per account / char not per region !
Simple solution: monthly bounty limit per account / char, limit: double average value of PLEX
You might just need to NS mine with a rorqual for 12 hours in order to fully PLEX your account, instead of the previous 10 hours.
Huge setback. I can see how this is completely outrageous.
the people who wanted capitals to get a balance pass will benefit from this
overall the balance of the game will benefit from this
the rampant isk inflation will be slowed, so the economy of the game will benefit from this
so a nice big buff to having lots of accounts?
Yes, back when off-grid boosting was removed.
And soooo many Rorqual pilots were upset about that update. Look at 'em now.
from the miners and ratters who will need to buy plex to supplement their income due to it not being as profitable anymore.
You understand how supply and demand works, right? Mineral prices will go up due to there being less supply.
Well see I hope your right bro o7
After two years carrier ratting it is time to leave I guess. If you didn’t want people to use them that way you should have brought it in line a month after citadel expansion. Not 2 years later. 3 Accounts gone
Don’t tell them that xD the more people that stop the more dank iskies everyone that adapt’s and tough’s it out will make (much more than before patch), let quitters be quitters.
Fun fact of the day!
You can still carrier rat
I still will be
Can still carrier rat, can still rorq mine can still vexor rat can still gila abyss, people just love complaining before trying
I wasn’t thinking about linear growth/isk invested. I was just stating that this balance is already on a knives edge. It’s not the players fault that nothing is being done in term of diversity when it comes to building stuff and ore/mineral influx is getting higher and higher. It’s Eve’s sandbox way of life. If you take progress and getting goals checked by more and players you should have a backup plan considering the fact that you might end up in a game with everyone having a Rorq/Super/Titan at some point (which is top in game).
Hammering down end game content over and over just because more and more people are getting there is no way of doing things. What is the point of even getting there if every time you get there you get hammered down?
The only answer to this problem is either Diversity either a new concept of spending all that income and influx of stuff.
It’s very hard anyway for an average player to keep up with Eve way of gameplay considering the fact that you lose hundreds of hours every time anyway when you lose something. Making it harder and harder to recover is like CCP is walking on a side of a cliff, it might fall into it someday and die, because people might not have the energy it takes to start over.
Take the Rorqual for example. You train it for months ( as with any other aspect of the game). You spend your hundreds of hours of grinding to get the ship, then spend another hundreds of hours grinding for the drones which are MADE to be EASILY LOST ANYWAY, that’s the risk vs reward that is on that thin line. If you nerf yields you just added 20% in that hundreds of hours of grinds. By nerfing the tank you have a way higher chance of losing it to smaller fleets ( we are talking about 38% reduction in active tank) so you need way less firepower to take one down, besides the fact that you can save only 30% of the ship cost in drones and reduced insurance.
If you take an average working player, with a life and not a bot that spends the majority of his time in spaceships, maybe you can average 2-4 maybe 6 hours/day. We are talking about months worth of time to get into the ship and months of time to recover if you lose it. This is the thin line I am talking about. After you finally get that Rorq with drone set it may take months, that you might lose it in a blink of an eye, does the average player still got the motivation to grind all those months back? And yes I am talking with all the nerfs included in months of extra time to recover.
SO the point is, instead of hammering down end game content by reducing incomes offer more ways to DIVERSIFY and spend. The tank nerfs/saving ability is not that big of a deal, in the end, if stuff blows up faster then you create the opportunity to be built again, so you keep the balance ( but Always keep in mind the times needed to recover)
I am particularly angry as a result of the planned patch that provides for a significant decrease in the Rorqual’s ability to mine. I invested time to build the skills to be able to pilot this ship and 15 days from the end, this patch makes this ship useless … So I lost my time instead of mounting the skills of the hulks. … I find it scandalous, given the enormous time that takes the training of these skills … The minimum would be to allow the players to re-use the skills of the Rorqual for something else … and not just 50 percent … I confess that I don t know what to do … How to trust future changes … If I ride this or that thing, will it still be worthwhile when I’m finished? I confess that I hesitate to leave the game Eveonline for this reason …
don’t fly what you can’t afford/are not willing to lose
your complaining that you can only save that much now? Most ships get to save ■■■■ all when they die and people still fly them
Its still the best mining ship in the game btw
Not necessarily - it almost makes defending them call for more organisation, if you need to split your defence fleet up between multiple anomalies/systems. Fewer Rorqs in a single area means attackers split up, defenders split up, which leads to fights on multiple fronts, rather than just one blob on one blob.
The Rorqual is not going to be useless, just less of a completely dominating position.
the rorq changes are going to suck! less hp or less time on the panic but dont mess with the m3 per cycle. also dont mess with caps and supers. if u want the little guys to have more fun give dreads and battleships more dps.
