You know full well it isnāt that. Time spent playing eve isnāt time wasted it the amount of time spent that was wasted just to have them nerf everyoneās hard work on their cap toons because of the ādissatisfaction of fighting themā (CCPs words not mine). Seems all this is just to drive the bottom line and letās face it Eve is a business for CCP and Pearl Abyss and I donāt hate them for wanting to make money on their hard work but what about the players who pay good money for their hard work so they have a job??.. Thatās all Iām saying.
I am encouraged by the way this balance change shows how CCP is looking at 'things that need to be balanced". However, several of the changes seem significantly off-target to me, that they would not have the desired effect, and that they would benefit (or more accurately, be less harmful to) blobs more than small players.
I was going to post to that effect, but your Rorq/HAW/Carrier points pretty much said what I was going to say.
Itās something with the Ferox and agility, Agiliity reduced to a higher number but my sleep depraved brain tells me thatās an increase:)

Those are some valid points. I donāt necessarily disagree with what youāre putting forward, but you still need to keep in mind that regardless of what it means to individual players in terms of investments, and the rewards you get from it, you still need to make sure that all the different aspects of the game are as balanced as they can be.
The super/carrier ratting, VNI ratting and most of all, Rorqual mining, were several unbalanced to the point where it had a very detrimental effect on the game.
If these nerfs are the best way to go about balancing them, I donāt know. But I certainly see it as a good step in the right direction.

Can we give the Enforcer (winner of both the 2018 and 2019 awards for Worst Recon Ship and Worst Covops Ship) a drone bay? Reasons it needs a drone bay:
- All the other Force Recons have one
- The ship has terrible DPS, tank, and utility, all helped by combat & ECM drones
- The Enforcer has a huge, animated drone bay on the ship model
- The ship is beyond unplayable now. Just go on zkill and find people willing to fly it.

You know that as time passes more and more people will EVENTUALLY get there, and what then? Nerf again? AND AGAIN? One year from now will have MORE RORQS, MORE CARRIERS and MORE OF EVERYTHING. Two years from now? MORE AND MORE, so what? We keep on hammering?
If we will get 100% more rorqual miners in 1-2 years we just nerf incomes by 100% to keep actual levels?
Where does this stop? I can tell you, NEVER! As time goes by itās NATURAL that things will keep on piling up.
On the other hand, I see that CCP uses other tactics, besides nerfing stuff down (which will only work to a point), they get more and more people unwilling to play because itās already a very hard to keep a person motivated when they are continually pressed and pushed out of everything they work for, so the more people leave the more economy hurts in terms of supply so things are balanced.
There must be ways to keep on with this INFLUX OF STUFF, just think of a massive influx of people that MAY come into this game, letās say hypothetically that suddenly there will be a growth in player base by a few %, that few % will eventually get to late game, what then? you just hammer down by that x% that new people are bringing? THIS MUST STOP!

I hope you feel just as justified about your nerf bat stance when the reaction to this hits. Your right, cost is not a reason to buff or nerf. What you are missing is the frustration level of spending months working up to a goal only to have what you worked for severely diminished.
For the Rorqual this is the 4th major nerf after bringing it out of the POS to be on field and at equal risk to all others. We went from High Risk, High Reward to High Risk, low reward.
We may want to take a long look at the effect of this āBalance Passā. Rorqual will now optimally mines as good as a boosted Hulk with a bit of a buff added at a cost of 7B. I already know of at least two dozen Rorquals being pulled off field and swapped for hulks. So instead of two Dozen or so Rorquals on field there will be dozens of Hulks feeding one or two Rorquals as they mine. How many hundreds of Rorquals will follow that example in the coming months? We may be looking at 100s of billions not lost in combat. That translates directly to a loss of revenue in a game that generates income through destruction.
Just unsubbed my last two accounts and demanded money back. No fun playing this game anymore.

nerfing income streams is a very common way of balancing across tons of mmos and has been done in eve many times, and thats a good thing
