Devblog: Spring Balance Update Incoming!

Hmm… But didn’t you “win” in this case already? I consider winning as in they leave or explode and you are still on grid.

Must be some kind of deal between CCP and ‘‘the mittani’’ after goons were kicked from the north…to give them a chance to rebuild quickly…then slowly kill the rorqual

If all you’re looking to do is drive them off, drop 100 carriers with 100 webbing AFs as support, and don’t screw around with something they might actually try to fight.

I must have miss read it as I thought it was like 250-300 repping faxes or something on the far right of that chart. Its like a complete fleet of nothing but faxes.

That’s right. when in doubt and you don’t know what to do with a new balance change, always, always target and nerf mining capsuleers in Eve. Beautiful!!! Well done!!!

I actually love this theory.

Repeating your post twice doesn’t make it sound any better you know!!!

Why on earth would anyone invest in a rorqual now.

Exactly…thats their main goal and i don’t like it at all…this game now feels like a ■■■■■■■ online casino…it wont be long till i trash everything I own and biomass all accounts…there are plenty of space games out there and more enjoyable than this piece of crap this game has become

It would be useful if it had a damn capacitor that could run those lasers for any length of time.

At X47, on both timers, I had a full fleet of Faxes, plus we had some in each of our fleets and the overflow fleets. And, for the record: things still died. DD volleys don’t care how many reps are landing, they care if enough of them are landing together.

And expanding on my original point doesn’t make it any less right.

Because they’re the best mining ship in the game.

It’s not the main goal, at all. If the only thing you enjoyed in EVE was ratting to make ISK, you might as well have been playing an online casino. The numbers will go up much higher, much faster.

To save a lot of fuss and bother, could all you rage-quitters give all your stuff to me, and I’ll make sure it’s fairly redistributed…

well…ratting and generally pve its how you make isk in this game most…so what you on about? you need isk to buy ships to pvp and pvp its what i enjoy most…so no…there have been so many changes in the favour of loosing ships and structures…i don’t know where to begin…so yeah this is the direction this game is going at the moment…the more stuff people loose the less isk they will have…the less isk they will have the more they will want to buy plex to convert into isk to support their ingame habits.

Right, but who are they gonna sell the PLEX to if nobody has ISK cuz everything’s blowing up?

Many nerfs have happened, and like most of the community I normally just shrug my shoulders and continue playing. I have been with Eve for 13 years with my first character in this game. when carriers first arrived they were a power house to be reckoned with. The point too many people complained and eventually they were nerfed to almost uselessness. The upgrade with fighters and over haul made them a power house once again during that change. then someone said hey carrier pilots are making too much isk we have to do something about it. Changes to fighters and NPC pirates was made. But it really does seem at times that the Developers cater to people who wine and complain for the sake of saying that something is to tough VS those people adapting to tactics to deal with what they have issue with. I remember when you used to have learning skills just for faster training times. Not the same case now, and if your pockets are deep enough you can buy SP; you don’t even have to wait those long train times like many long time vets did . Thanks CCP! The game has been made free in hopes of Bringing a gold rush of new players… still looking at an average of 26.5k on log in. The re-balances and breaking of things constantly doesn’t mean your necessarily making the game better for everyone and to be honest in some cases it’s a total turn off. Just how many times is Rorqual nerfs going to be completed before a Hulk is better than it? The point of some one has to grow to capital potential to fight other capitals, or develop better sub capital tactics to deal with the current capability’s. The largest complaint of all is if half the time spent on catering to those who will not work to create strategy to combat tough Ships in the game that people have trained into; was applied to making the game not lag in a huge fight; that would bring more people to the game and stop some of us vets from leaving.

I am fully aware of this. I am former Navy and spent a lot of time on carriers. They are a force to be reckoned with in their own right. Those ships that travel with the carrier are not all their as defensive support. Force projection is the name of the game and the ships of a Carrier Group handle both offensive and defensive duties. You fire a missile at a carrier and the CIWS units are 90% going to take it out before it ever gets close enough to damage anything.

The real threat to a carrier is the threat that can’t be seen under the water. Submarines. A carrier out on it’s own is a sitting duck to a fast attack sub.
