This game is already 15 years old don’t be surprise if the next big thing hits and players start packing their bags.
Sometime i wonder why they bothered with the free to play model when they are clearly subcription base model

Thanks for buffing the value of Omega pilots. Much appreciated.
Compensation for FREE access to a game because of some perceived slight to your character ‘progression’ LMFAO!!!
Oh my you might have to have some risk to get a reward?!?!?! WoW!! whodathunk there is such a thing
hey look, ive been playing for 2 weeks so far, i really like the game.
But ive spent 1 entire week doing drone interface IV for my kiting tristan fit.
so literally half my playtime so far has all been dedicated into a skill that is now
not useable.
I only want sp back, so i can use that sp to lvl up the skills for the weaponry that are still viable for
an alpha to pvp…
The balance changes are fine, but losing a skill i wait for 1 entire week to get ready feels quite bad
Bitching about this as an Alpha account is moot…
For one such as yourself that the training time does equate to a decent amount of your overall game time I do sympathise and yeah it sucks somewhat
but one the other hand this is EvE the hardcore game that hardcore gamers can’t handle because it is ruthless and tough and has it’s own fair share of meme’s about the overhang (not vertical) learning curve (which is a good thing)
Stick it out mate and after a few months it will seem totally insignificant especially for Tristan frig PvP. You won’t miss it when you get the bigger view of more game time.
Keep going my friend the rabbit hole is just starting for you and it is such a journey!!
thank u for ur kind words. it just feels super painful since i dont have much isk to inject some other viable pvp skills (such at missiles) and i actually spent several alpha injectors into Interface IV, which really makes this a painful hit (basically my money wasted fking hell).
If i didnt lose IV i wont have enough to immediately get t2 launchers, and that just kinda pushes me away from the game since the money i spent can just be immediately nerfed off in 1 annoucement…
i just feel its a simple click of the button for them to give back the lost sp.
and that click of the button would be greatly appreciated by many alpha players who got hit by a nerf hammer that invalidiated their money that they spent on the game…
Well part of it is the hope that you will enjoy the game enough to want to go to omega and then it will be waiting for you etc.
The best advice I can give is not to focus on this one thing as when you have more time in game you will realise the small scale of this change…
Enjoy the journey rather than ruching and focusing on the destination in EvE, it’s a slow burn not a quick hit.
I agree with the alpha clone whiners in this thread. Don’t nerf the VNI. After all, why would you take 50mbits away from the VNI when you can simply take Alpha clones down to Drones III? That’s a much better solution isn’t it?
And this is why many other games have a third tier;
One for completely free : Alpha
One for a completely free account that has had any purchase from their out of game store: missing middle tier
One for the ‘premium’ experience: Omega
I do sympathize with players that might have trained these drone skills and sunken part of their 5 mil sp cap into them, but if they are completely free Alpha, they can create another character without those sunk sp.
It is the missing middle category that is the problem: take for example the player that has created a ‘perfect’ Alpha account, either as an alt, or as an account that they can play socially with their friends on. While they are in an Alpha status (non-subbed), if they have at one point in time made a purchase from CCP, be it in the form of Omega game time, or Plex to then sell and buy skill injectors/etc from the in game market. These players should be compensated for the change in skill points obtained by using real life money.
The complete edge case, a completely free Alpha pilot that used in game plex to buy daily alpha injectors from the market, to train a 20.5 mil sp character with max alpha skills, would probably be the least inconvenienced as they paid no real money for the character, and are simply invested in the game as a valuable member of the community (from the mmo perspective, not from the CCP/Pearl Abyss investor perspective). I would imagine that there are very few in this category, as it would take 310 days of using an alpha injector to get to cap, starting from a 5mil sp capped Alpha.
TLDR: Perhaps this is the time for CCP to realize that there is a separate category of account status between Alpha and Omega (perhaps Alpha+) for ease of other potential changes, and that players truly inconvenienced are probably best served by opening a ticket asking for those sunk skill points to be unallocated.
Drones (bandwidth / bay): 75 (-50) / 200
only one word BYE BYE Vexor Navy Issue
CCP is destroying ISK making so they can push PLEX sales. @CCP_Falcon I get it, you gotta do what Pearl Abyss is telling you, but you have to know that not allowing players to make ISK and forcing a micro transaction fueled play style is the beginning of the end for any game.
just come to the worm hole there is plenty of isk here to go around
Like the idea but it better to have an option like in the form of skill point reset then opening ticket.
(The poor tech support guy is going to get flooded and drowned)
A simple skill point reset would solve everything for those affected (alpha+ players) instead of having watch their trained orca ,PI skill or drone skill and not able to use them unless they go omega again due to changes.
It better to give players an option if they have paid and trained for those skills while affected by any ccp changes
My Grandma would say, "don’t throw the baby out with the bath water:
Alpha accounts should probably never had access to T2 guns or drones in the first place. Military alternatives were the key. CCP should just leave it alone and learn from their mistake. Botting is a difficult issue to be sure but would you go after the botters without hurting the players?
I’m not sure how CCP could determine who wants those skills removed and reimbursed and who doesn’t. What about all those old accounts that aren’t being used? They are Alpha by default. The only way I can imagine it happening is all who want those skill reimbursed put in a request ticket. Then there’s the skill books.
Gallente Cruiser bonuses (per skill level):
10% bonus to Drone hitpoints, damage, and tracking speed
10% bonus to Medium Hybrid Turret damage and tracking speed
7.5% bonus to armor repair amount
This is too many bonuses for a navy ship
Why Navy Caracal, Navy Exequror and Navy Stabber don’t receive such love
The bonuses for new vni in order to bring it in line with other ships should be:
Gallente Cruiser bonuses (per skill level):
10% bonus to Drone hitpoints, damage
10% bonus to Medium Hybrid Turret damage
+1 Turret slot(Now 4 turret slots total)(It doesn’t need more fitting space for the forth turret)
Make the Dramiel great again.
A simple click yes to have all the skill point reset or click no retain all skills trained and can only be use in omega only kind of text box.
As for skill books that gone into training those skills, it just a bonus those thing arent cheap.
Trying hard to turn it into a caracal navy huh? When they gave it drones and it has only ever needed fitting room. Ikr, they are really good at this balance thing.
The reason the bonuses are all fubar on the VNI is because they removed the single most defining characteristic it had then gave it a little of everything else to try to make up for the lubeless buttfuckery perpetrated in the name of combating botters. When the truth is botting could be stopped cold by simply copy/pasting sleeper ai and/or stasis towers into the anoms.
