No, that is just power creep not balancing.
OH noes
How many paid for omega, dropped $500 for plex to get ISK to buy Injectors and jump straight into a RorqualâŚthats insane too Right?
you chose to use RL cash instead of acquiring the ISK in game and using the in game market for Free (no RL cash) on a âFREEâ account. its really the consumer fault here, not CCP
Child, asked, why he do not play eve, said: âIâm not going to play games, where I`m no1 after half-a year of game playâ⌠CCP guys, take a look at calendar, and think about it⌠It takes ages to develop pilot for desired role, and then come CCP, and Nerf it to the ground âin a name ofâŚâ Maybe double subscription for aged âomegaâ players to let them understand, where they can be w/o ânew bloodââŚ
CCP cannot fix the âbot problemâ - mostly AFKs seen by round-skulls, and so punishes EVERYONE again.
CCP wonders why their subscription numbers CONTINUE to fallâŚhmm pissing off more and more players might have something to do with it.
Time to win Eve, Iâm sick of this crap over and over
Im not an Alpha account but I can very clearly see their point.
If CCP wouldnt have made available the skill points for cash on a free account⌠but they did and then they took their skill points back lol, with no reimbursement.
4% of all players that try Eve stay with it, and that is from a recent CCP report. So free to play was and still needed to stay competitive within the gaming market. Got it, good for you CCP for trying to keep the lights on, I love Eve. Subbed many accounts for about 10 years now.
Some people on this thread seem to think its okay for Alphas to clipped skill points. Which honestly I agree with to a certain point, since alphas are free to play⌠or are theyâŚ
Now we have issues⌠âor PURCHASED with skill injectorsâ.
So as an Omega account holder and as some people have stated in this thread, three tiers of accounts might be needed, did you really like flying that shiny T2 battleship, thats good take a screen shot of it!
Breaking news
CCP realizes that the model of Eve Online has been wrong for sometime, we are incorporating a third tier of accounts, effective immediate all T2 things(Ships, modules, ammo and anything else we can think of) will be moved to the 3rd tier and will require additional training time and skill points. Please feel free to continue to use all T1 (that is Meta 1 through 4) items until you meet the new requirements."
thank you (makes up name) CCP royallyscrewedyouover
PS Monthly subscription fees have been increased to $30, we are removing PLEX from the game, the market will be controlled by CCP and all blue print originals will be removed from game.
PSS recruit a friend (Omega accounts only) and we will give you 100k skill points free (and remove them in 30 days, or 20 days, somewhere around those lines, we lost the post it notes from the meeting).
Thanks for subscribing !
cheers!
do that to Omega accounts at a drop of a dime. LOL burn Jita, childs play.
and you have clearly missed mine.
I can also see the issue from a certain point of view.
But the poster i kept replying to has been really practically calling for legal action in a way and Stating CCP is breaking the law in some way.
Yet that person has an omega account, knows the market exsists, and yet wants to have his cake and eat it too. It doesnt work that way in EvE, or in most cases RL either for that fact.
Now out of the possibly 10âs of thousands of ALpha accounts (if not more) CCP can not just give a blanket reset to the SP of those characters for those skills cause a small percentage of them paid for Alpha injectors with cash instead of ISK. Doing so makes no sense if they (CCP) are in anti-bot mode with these changes.
Historically CCP has only reimbursed SP when they completely deleted a skill.
Now as to the others, if they are an adultâŚjust stop its a game and I am sure you have paid many times more than injectors cost here in other games where micro-transactions are the norm.
If the alpha is a childâŚwell take your tantrum to your parents and see what they say, probably tell you to get a job.
If its a veteran upset about his/her AFK ability and/or ability to run a bot farmâŚwell so what, good riddance to your play style⌠STFU and HTFU or find something else you are the reason this nerf occurred.
Thank you for the ad hominem attack.
One of CCPâs biggest problems is that people can run an omega without paying CCP real money. Yet these same people then sneer at alpha accounts as âplaying for freeâ.
I subscribe to an omega account. I buy alpha injectors. I pay CCP money to do so.
I do not run a bot farm.
The reasons I am angry are:
- consumer law is clear in most countries and CCP are contemplating running against it;
- a move like this risks losing yet more of the player-base who pay;
- when they go, those of you who ISK for plex will not be able to do so, for all the billions of ISK hoarded away, because no one will be buying with cash the plex needed for the corrupted market;
- CCP will go out of business or shut down Eve;
- and I do not want that, because I actually enjoy playing the damned game.
Now, please, do us a favour, stop trolling on something that clearly matters not to you, or does not affect you if you have not bought alpha injectors.
I would simply like a cogent, reasoned response from CCP.
Is get rid of Alpha entirely. It should have never entered the game.
It does equal free play of course.
What?
Ttu youâve found yourself in the middle of the problem.
Only new players buy PLEX.
But there is a solution to this problem.
1 Blackout.
2 Possibility of renting CONCORD for protection.
there is also another more drastic move.
1 Only CCP can buy PLEX in the game.
It is only problematic at what price.
All the âLegal blurb, SP back itâs fraudâ crowd make me laugh. You chose to buy SP with cash, you made use of those SP.
Game rules changed for the good of the overall health of the game happens all the time. Be happy you had easy mode VNI and adapt. If you are in hisec itâll still be a beast for most uses, you just need to change tactics.
People buy SP with cash with the intention on keeping what they paid for. Active gameplay with the VNI will definitely be a beast for most uses. And game rules should change for the overall better health of the game to keep players, but people should have the option to have those skills that are being locked behind a paywall to be removed as unallocated points when in some cases they have already paid for them.
And having paid for the SP, I expect to be able to use them.
It is not âlegal blurbâ, it is consumer law.
Do you own a car? Did you pay for it? Does the manufacturer have the right to come back to you and say that, in the interests of balancing the automotive industry, they are now taking away your car, but, as an act of generosity, they are proposing to let you drive it again if you now rent it from them?
Theyâre just going to switch to n.aracals. So then we change n.aracals bonuses as well? CCP will you ever grow out of the âweâll wait and seeâ reactive philosophy and start being proactive. Recognize what is causing issues and what isnât.
As long as thereâs ships in the game available to alphas then theyâll undoubtedly find ways to make your subscription model look like a joke. Thereâs no reason why someone who isnât paying to play the game, to fly battleships, to have such heavy drone skills and to be able to use T2 ammo in the navy weapons they shouldnât be able to equip.
Youâre going to run out of ships, modules and content to ruin for the majority of players before even putting a dent into the innumerable exploits alpha clones will come up with. No matter how you approach this, CCP. Youâve already lost the war, they contribute nothing to you financially and can always leave even after youâve broken the game for the ones who do pay you.
Alphas are a disease. Just look at all the things youâve had to change, break or reconsider just to tailor to a demographic who arenât paying a subscription. Thatâs so backwards.
You act as if paying customers donât exploit or break games either, lmao. The issue isnât alphaâs, itâs their core game design that allow these things to happen.
Someone paying to play the game are doing so to access the game in itâs entirety.
Someone not paying to play the game are doing so to actively find ways to avoid having to.
Iâd argue that itâs perfectly reasonable for someone contributing to the development of a gaming company to do as they wish with the product theyâve purchased as long as it falls within the ToS. If you canât see the differences between someone enjoying their purchase vs someone constantly finding exploitable content to ruin the overall experience for everyone then youâre blind.
Or worse, youâre an alpha
Iâm currently omega, lmao. Youâre delusional.
Botters are everywhere, even in subscription based games (Look at WoW goldsellers). Same thing, at the end of the day theyâre the ones looking to profit.
