Why allow it on T2?
that is not an argument. You are simply stating your opinion over and over again. Christ you are utterly illogical. also you didn’t answer the question…
What ■■■■■■■ question?
The only one I see is a rhetorical deprecating statement that happens to have a question mark at the end.
Then why allow them on T2?
You just wrecked your own argument.
no he didn’t. please try and read properly before making statements. mutated modules will not disrupt the standard market by anything more than standard deviation simply due to the economies of scale at which mutated modules vs existing modules will be selling in.
What are you saying ?
Oh, maybe in your mind the point of this is to get better than officer modules ? So if you can’t the whole system is useless ? Don’t you think this is very reductive ?
The whole point of this system is to allow the creation of original fits. Created modules will sometimes have one particularly powerful stat at the expense of several others, and creative player will be able to make nice and original fits out of it.
If the modules are not interesting, if the bonus are not worth the money, the effort and the drawback, the whole abyss thing will be worthless.
The randomness ensure that the process can’t be industrialized, so nullsec alliances, or any group for that matter, will not be able to exploit it in their doctrines. The randomness also ensure that DED/officer/LP modules will not be affected because they are A) very powerful already and B) predictive and reliable. As opposed to mutated modules that can be potentialy powerful, but most of the time with severe drawbacks and definitely not reliably accessible.
Lets say you have 1 mutaplasmid.
Lets say you also have one 1 T1, one T2 and one top DED 100mn AB.
Which will you use the mutaplasmid on, and why?
I’m not doing this light-heartedly, but can I propose anyone who wants a serious discussion about this topic, stop answering to Salvos? He has been repeating the exact same senteces over and over again, people making the effort to prove him wrong again and again, I think it is enough. He is clearly trying to push his agenda by repeating his nonsense over and over again. He is not really interested in our arguments, he just wants opportunity to repeat his.
Let’s stop this nonsense, is what I propose. Let’s not answer to him anymore and instead discuss the serious questions at hand in a respectful and open minded manner. It is okay to have different opinions and it is also okay to look from different angles at the topic. None of us has all the facts yet. We can extrapolate from available Data on SiSi and from what CCP Rise said.
It doesn’t mean we have to find an agreement here. There might be specific balance issues that we need to discuss. There seem to be also different ideas of how easy or hard it will be to acquire Mutaplasmids, how easy or hard it will be to roll perfect/good/decent/not-total-■■■■ Mutaplasmids from T1/T2/Faction items.
Let’s look at the numbers again. We don’t need more assumptions and we don’t need more fearmongering.
I think several articles in this thread suggest strongly that if anything Mutaplasmids might have been preemtively nerfed too hard or nerfed in the wrong places, since the extremely low chance of rolling a good one. I’d like people who don’t agree with that to offer numbers which suggest anything else. I’m sure there will be modules where a non-shitty roll will change the meta and if anyone sees specific problems with that, let’s discuss the details.
P.S. Salvos stop posting the exact same post over and over again. You’re polluting the Forums.
Edit: it he doesn’t stop spamming, is there any way I can hide his posts for me? I want to read serious opinions instead.
Edit2: For anyone wondering how he does it apart from repeating exact same posts. He is trying to force his fake-questions upon you to stop any serious discussion. That’s why you need to stop replying to him.
Edit3: You can see that up to this point 64/330 posts in this thread are his. If you look at them, he repeats himself and ignores the answers. He just takes them as an excuse to repeat himself again. Right now he writes just another one.
What’s the point of this question ? Is it that I will obviously answer T2 because you removed all the other sane choices ? And now I have 1 chance out of 2 to get something worse than meta module, about 1/4 chance to get something decent and usable, and 1/10000000 to get something comparable to a DED AB.
Now, the question is totaly stupid, because if I have this DED AB I can either use it or sell it and I don’t need to roll the dice to get something barely usable.
You arent an ISD or mod.
If you have issue with my posts, flag them or report them to CCP.
If you persist in harassing in an attempt to censure me, I will report your posts to CCP.
I can’t wait for this update to be released so we can look forward to discussing something else.
Its a perfectly reasonable and simple question.
Which would you apply the mutaplasm to?
I answered.
I didnt remove any choices.
So you chose T2 to apply it to, correct?
Right now any Deadspace component that can be mutated has seen a speculative price spike due to availability.
I don’t see these mutalids being wasted on T1 modules and possibly even T2. The smart money is on Faction since you can easily farm the LP/required tags and for the cost of a mutator you could end up with a Deadspace equivalent.
Smart money is on T2, if they remain allowed for mutation, cos they can be produced on demand.
That’s why they want this so bad.
They want to mutate their T2 module production to infringe on the DED/LP module market.
Player NS will be able to run mutations on T2 modules nonstop, depending only on the availability of plasmutids.
And they will ruin themselves in doing so. Did you read any of the posts in this thread or do you simply pick random sentences and always answer the same thing ?
If that is so, then why allow T2 mutation.
Its better to leave T2 as is, as the baseline of EVE PvP.
Game relies on both the stats and cost of T2 modules.
If you want bling, buy a DED/LP module.
If you want super-bling, or something very specific, buy a mutated DED/LP module that fits your needs.
I would seriously check the numbers, do the basic statistical calculations before investing in Faction items with the dream of rolling mutaplasmids on them. I did it and I provided some sample-calculations. Let me say this: the chances of wasting Billions for nothing is really high.
I already answered.
