you are watching the wrong show dute.watch talking in stations scarcity was a good thing .
According to TiS, so was every other change that drove players from the game.
i can tell you this it will be mind blowing .
thats is the healthy economy haven t you been reading the forums or watch any rattati interviews
do not wry everything will be fine nft are coming so you will play to earn haven t u checked any ccp press releases
Did you miss the Not For Tranquility post about NFTs?
Did you miss that they are still pursuing it with the Eve franchise, just outside of TQ?

What is the reason of this rising ?? No new content, no extension, but rising Price ?? Why CCP ? You really want all payers to leave ?!
Costs are up (Globally) from turning the lights on to paying staff.
A chunk of the player base can no longer pay to play, just Putin that out there. So income is down.
Lack of competition in the serious internet spaceships market.
They have already accepted that the price increase will cause a % of the players to leave and they think that the announcements at fanfest will limit that % of leavers.
They are also counting on the fact that some players have invested so much time and money into this game that no matter how much they hate paying extra, they will keep paying.
Thatâs for the existing player base of omega subs
The only bit I canât work out is the jump from alpha to omega hook for new player, to make that jump and seeing that monthly this is the most expensive MMO on the market. A first time Omega is unlikely to jump into a 12 month or 2 year sub I think in most cases.
If the other MMOâs make the same move then this will all become a non issue as it will become the new standard, until thenâŚI guess we wait for fanfest.
Hi Arrendis, I confess that for me this price increase is not a big problem. Iâm content to continue with what I have in EVE, at the price the company asks of me. If things get tight, Iâll sort my priorities and see what has to decline, or go.
Of course, EVE is not a tub of butter. Rather, I was drawing attention to the general expectation in this thread that an increase in price should be paired with new and/or improved content.
It is as if a child had grazed its knee and wanted Mummy to kiss it better. The increase is the graze, new content, the kiss.
I donât understand that. It seems, however, that CCP does understand it and has fashioned some sort of reveal for Fanfest.
CCP has not handled this well. You know my fondness for not dressing up bad news. Perhaps they should have put the prices up with âstuff costs moreâ, and left it at that.
On a side note, it is odd how few of the usual denizens of GD/C&P have appeared in this thread (Iâve read it all). Perhaps weâre getting a view of the real playerbase.
Sorry to run on; I must now run off.
I donâ t EVE outside of Tranquility. No Echoes, no Valkyrie, no Gunjack, etc. Not interested if they add anything to something outside of Tranquility. This is a thread about the rate hikes on TranquilityâŚyou know?
I agree and I think this is why many are angry over this increase. I personally havenât seen much change in my small bubble⌠Nothing radical. Incursions are the same, same missions, same rat anoms, same FOBs. Main focus has been on rebalancing and finally finishing fixing the ecosystem and that is another thread in it of itself.
I was responding to your post about NFTâs here [Discussion] PLEX and Omega price changes feedback thread - #2414 by Willard_the_Rat.

@CCP_Paragon Holy Christ, have not listened to the whole thingâŚ
Profitability???
From nullsec to CSM reps to gankers to HS wardecrâs to MinersâŚsomething like 3 dozen seperate ideas were given to CCP that have never been implemented that the playerbase would throw money at youâŚdamn i just dkâŚyou devs must be ********, go back to college and ask for a refund on your economic degrees!
Manual edit: There you go ISD, redacted an offending word but my post is still valid, Paragon talks about reinvesting into EvE and hirng more devs and CCP needed to maintain profitsâŚwhen we the players have given them solutions to implement that the playerbase would throw money at CCP. hide it again and ill just re-edit it again and repost again.
I donât understand comments like this. Thatâs a static product, Eve Online is dynamic and through the lifetime of a game youâd expect improvements, additional features and additional content. Weâve seen nothing but a strip back of these things over the past two years. To use your example, the butter you bought today is actually 400g not 500g but youâve paid the same price. Now weâre being asking to pay 33% more for that 400g of butter with a suggestion it will return back to 500g.
That butter had best be 500g and made from the sweetest tasting milk a cow has ever produced to justify such a hike.
yea this is it I came back this year w my 5 accounts now I am quitting I guess I get to see you ppl putt the last nails in the coffin of this game it all down hill if this is the way this is moving
Hi Scoflo; they are not comparable products, as products. It is peopleâs reactions to price increases I was trying to understand.
EVE is entertainment. You might pay monthly for any sort of entertainment. Part of the deal is that you get what you expect and like. (Thatâs like my tub of butter, I guess).
The company puts up the price. You still get what you expect and like (or at least, what youâve been putting up with), but you let them know in no uncertain terms that you want more, because they had the audacity to increase prices to balance increased costs or loss of income.
It seems straightforward to me, but Iâm not you.
Pay and Stay or Grieve and Leave. I wish all Lifeâs problems were so clear-cut!
No no I agree with you to an extent, and I can stomach the increase if CCP hadnât actually subjectively reduced the value of their product over the past two years and then slapped a 33% increase on the âsuggestionâ announcements at fanfest will justify this increase. I think people are angry that weâve been charged the same for less game content and now weâll be charged more for some unknown improvements which, letâs face it, CCPâs idea of improvements arenât always the best.
Yes, scoflo, I think - from reading the comments here - that it is the linking of the price increase with other, general disappointments, that has stirred people to such negativity.
It will affect me. Barge and Exhumer EHP was buffed, making my playstyle a bit more challenging. I could have addressed it simply by adding an account or three, but clearly that will now have some financial implications.
Youâd think the Highsec miners would be cheering at the change, but of course it will affect their activities, too.
P.S. Iâve deliberately avoided using the G-word; we donât want it to become another of those threads!
