What new pilots? With a game this expensive to get into (you can get lots of very decent games on steam for 20$, let alone 20$ a month) I donāt see the community growing anytime soon, most likely to shrink.

Steam yes, why not both? Our own game time is just as valuable to us as it is to another who would rather focus on playing a new game each month.
Perhaps I still lean on the side of accepting what is thrown at me as it is not a unachievable price to pay for myself and my gametime is limited and I see the value I had already applied to learn this game.

You donāt use MTCā¦each account has a farmed toon. You literally can have as many accounts as you want so why lump all your toons in one account? As mentioned, the investment you need is 500 PLEX to push past 5.5M SP per account. If you want a toon in that account to actually use, when you switch training time to the second toon, your farmed character isnāt accruing SP so that is another cost.
EvEās new player retention is low, very very low. Having newbies in rookie chat doesnt mean theyāll stick around. And yes my game time is also valuable, which is why i chose to play a game that i have fun with or find some kind of acommplishement, as i used to with eveās industry, or i leave. Here i am hoping they revert back that decision, even if i know they will not, corporate pride yāknow.
I do not understand that argument about people leaving being a good thing, CCP is a profit driven company (doesnt mean they have to be this toxic, thereās plenty of respectful profit driven companies) If EvE bleeds too many players and the game becomes unprofitable, theyāll shut it down eventually, having less players in an already empty galaxy is not a good thing.

The first though I would like to think there are plans in place to attract and retain new pilots or even reach out to those who had once tried and left. I donāt want to think of any scenario where this ends up just a corporate cash grab.

No PLEX needed. The first 6 million SP can be free.
All it takes is spinning up as many alpha accounts as you can be bothered, at the earliest opportunity.
The first 5 million SP train for free in the background, while you do other stuff. The last million comes from storing the unallocated SPs from the referral code and only applying them at the last moment (from 5M to 6M).
That right there should be stopped, abusing free accounts.

TBH Iāve never tried this as before you are blocked from exceeding the Alpha SP limit of 5M. Pretty sure this has not changed but again, havenāt checked myself.

More ways to burn PLEX is great as long as itās not P2W (no immediate advantage).
P2W has been in Eve since PLEX landed, and by extension, anything PLEX can buy or sell into to buy such as injectors and ships. Itās too late to cry about P2W imo.

True. RL money will give an advantage if one is willing to spend on PLEX. No guarantee that the items will be available but I get you point and you are right.
That would make CCP even sillier still. At no point should CCP ever need to become desperate for players to buy PLEX for ISK.
Enough veterans that arenāt account spinning (yet), will still be in the market to buy PLEX before it ever becomes cheap. CCP doesnāt need account spinners for this.
(Failing that, CCP could easily buy PLEX off the player market using their own market alts, if they really wanted to, creating artificial demand. Weād never even have to know.)
In the end, they are still giving away 6 million SPs for every spin through the backdoor, while they are now trying to put the Squeeze on players coming in through the front gate. Thatās potential revenue pissed away.
