This is indeed a completely new and unacceptable situation, but in no way surprising in view of the strategy already unfolded throughout the last 10 years, and faced with which all players of EvE Online now have every interest in opposing with the greatest firmness!
Everyone can proceed as they see fit in order to express their dissatisfaction; and the possibilities are not lacking:
1- withdraw definitively, forget this commercial mismanagement of CCP and devote his personal time to something else, even to something more useful, or
2- stay, but without paying the slightest extra penny for the benefit of CCP, i.e. either by completely restructuring its OMEGA clone while capitalizing on the existing one, or by simply contenting itself with its ALPHA account (because there is material despite everything, and this even with a single account), or
3- tackling head-on the abuse of economic dependence which, in the context of a persistent world, is proving to be a world first, as well as its philosophical, political, sociological and psychological consequencesâŚ
As for the lobbying still going on under this thread, you might as well ignore it at this stage in view of all the above; these people will be forced to keep quiet in the end before the extent of the damage caused by such inflation of +33%âŚ
The ball is therefore in everyoneâs courtâŚ

Well guess what i was at my dentist today (sarcasm on) he increased the price for professional cleaning by 15%, that guy is insane, 15% increase out of the blue i will never go to the dentist again ever!!! how can he do something like that and expect everyone and their mother to accept it as is??? Well buuhuu mister dentist you will never see me again ever, unless you reduce your price or provide a special service will cleaning (sarcasm off) this or something similar comes to my mind reading all the whiny mimimi posts here.
âUlly Loomâ for instance asks everyone to go (with other options) alpha because there is content there, whereas many others claim there has been no content in eve for 2+ years, while others claim the content is created by the players themselfs and i played a whole month basically without interacting with any âplayerâ because the npc content keeps me busy If you so desire just cancel your subs and donât cry moce on to something âcheaperâ more fullfuilling with more new content (try Lost Ark that got shitloads of content or try basically any other game but please stop crying.
I have followed the story of eve since at least 2009 and every minor or major change was a doomsday scenario for at least 50% of the playerbase, in 2020/2021(?) it was scarcity that killed EVE, end of 2021 it was the changes to mining (again) that killed EVE, . guess what it is 2022 and EVE is still here and most guys that cry about every single change are still here too, CSM is comming up i think, you all could have asked to be put up to be voted 
By the logic of some Code. (or any other ganker) would be needed to be removed from the game because they make ppl quit eve and therefore remove players from eve which might create content for others, the same applies to streamsnipers, station bashers etc. every action in EVE that makes a player unhappy could by the logic that EVE is created by players, be considered an EVE killing action ⌠did anyone ever actively try to MAKE CCP change the way ganking works.
So why is EVE still around, because not every cares 12 bucks (in three month). It sounds harsh but if an increase of 4$ a month (for the 3 month sub) are too much for you because then you canât buy food, i would highly recommend thinking about your life in general as 4$ a month is âgenerallyâ less than an hour of work in any field! if you canât get a (decent paying) job to pay (all) your bills maybe you should think about why you cant get a (decent paying) job. My mother with 4 kids worked 3 jobs to get us through school and nowadays we all make enough that we only need to work one and have a decent life. But we applied ourselfs in school and in the worklife to make that happen. If my mom hadnât helped to start ofc that would have been something else but still, if you are âthe momâ donât be an ass and do the work for your kids. Unconvenient truth everyone that wants to work can get a job to pay the bills if you canât - itâs your fault not the others! Sorry for the rather long (and unstructured) post and the ranting but negative crybabies make me want to sickup.

When I was younger and more naive I would have disagreed. But advertising brings things to peopleâs minds.
Adapt to those price changes by micromanaging your ingame assets, clear out that old hanger full of items that is sitting idle for the just in case needed scenario. Take greater risks to haul it back to a market hub,
Think outside the box by looking at the fresh new pilots who might fill your gameplay wtih something new or share with them something of old.
Most of all try to rediscover the reason for becoming a pilot yourself inside this wonderful gamespace called New Eden.

What new pilots? With a game this expensive to get into (you can get lots of very decent games on steam for 20$, let alone 20$ a month) I donât see the community growing anytime soon, most likely to shrink.
And no, i will not âadaptâ to the changes ccp puts us through needlessly, if i have no fun in game i will not plaiy it. Buying plex through isk is the same as buying them directly someone else bought it with money at first either way.

Steam yes, why not both? Our own game time is just as valuable to us as it is to another who would rather focus on playing a new game each month.
Perhaps I still lean on the side of accepting what is thrown at me as it is not a unachievable price to pay for myself and my gametime is limited and I see the value I had already applied to learn this game.
Soon many will be making a decision to stay and pay or leave as find something new, CCP is also giving us that opportunity to have a fresh start by shaking the Eve Online Tree for us to decide to hold on or drop off.
The ripple effect will be felt right through even in Nulsec my guess it will allow the fox to unsettle the hen house.
You donât use MTCâŚeach account has a farmed toon. You literally can have as many accounts as you want so why lump all your toons in one account? As mentioned, the investment you need is 500 PLEX to push past 5.5M SP per account. If you want a toon in that account to actually use, when you switch training time to the second toon, your farmed character isnât accruing SP so that is another cost.
EvEâs new player retention is low, very very low. Having newbies in rookie chat doesnt mean theyâll stick around. And yes my game time is also valuable, which is why i chose to play a game that i have fun with or find some kind of acommplishement, as i used to with eveâs industry, or i leave. Here i am hoping they revert back that decision, even if i know they will not, corporate pride yâknow.
I do not understand that argument about people leaving being a good thing, CCP is a profit driven company (doesnt mean they have to be this toxic, thereâs plenty of respectful profit driven companies) If EvE bleeds too many players and the game becomes unprofitable, theyâll shut it down eventually, having less players in an already empty galaxy is not a good thing.

The first part I agree with you and the second Iâm unable to comment on to my best ability.
The first though I would like to think there are plans in place to attract and retain new pilots or even reach out to those who had once tried and left. I donât want to think of any scenario where this ends up just a corporate cash grab.
I am looking forward to the shake up either way for the second part of your reply is all I feel like adding.

No PLEX needed. The first 6 million SP can be free.
All it takes is spinning up as many alpha accounts as you can be bothered, at the earliest opportunity.
The first 5 million SP train for free in the background, while you do other stuff. The last million comes from storing the unallocated SPs from the referral code and only applying them at the last moment (from 5M to 6M).
That right there should be stopped, abusing free accounts.

These accounts burn PLEX which is great for CCP. They are fully aware of this.
So CCP needs to add more itemised billing to consume PLEX for features, candidates for itemised billing are
- User API access (put the clientsecret/devkey burden onto the user)
- More fitting slots (database storage costs)
- Translation of chat via AWS service (AWS translation costs)
- More hanger space (database storage costs)
Other MMOâs charge for extra things, so why not.
I am sure you can think of more things to consume PLEX for.

TBH Iâve never tried this as before you are blocked from exceeding the Alpha SP limit of 5M. Pretty sure this has not changed but again, havenât checked myself.
