I meant that since the war dec change they actually believe it will happen.
Die regularly and get over it.
There’s another way to look at the Wardec change: that the implementation closed out an important aspirational target for new players. Probably because CCP knew that bittervets would never stop whining if they addressed the real issue with Wardecs /lol.
The implementation says this: you can avoid being gank-deced, but only if you give up on owning a structure. What kind of message is that? Almost the same one as the problem that it was supposed to solve: “we’re going to let more experienced, high-SP, high-income, richer players get between you and full access to the game”.
Rookies aren’t “consumables”. They need to be encouraged, not blocked. EVE is terrible at this, and bittervets with their “HTFU / it’s a sandbox / we can do anything we like to you” nonsense are part of that.
so this guy had 60 skill extractors bought with real money in his cargo trying to leave Jita
think about that for mre then a sec.
why does he buy skill extractors?
where he want to go?
why did he buy skill extractors when he could just sell the plex to the market?
why he want to leave Jita when the only place he can sell 60 skill extractors is jita?
so this “total new player” made a few funny steps … after sign up he bought plex with real money and then he bought 60 skill extractors from the new eden store - he could buy them anywhere safe … just pack the plex in the plex vault and buy where you need the extractors but he did in jita … he didnt want to make isk with the extractors …
he wants to leave the system with them … so what did he plan to do?
he wants to use the skill extractors? then he is not new but had a new char but then he would not do that anyways …
so … in the end someone made a new account … made a alpha … bout stuff and trys to RMT it to some guy … as easy …
look at the guy who killd this guy:
https://evewho.com/pilot/China%20Jew/
he had a few VERY interessting kills on his killboard:
thats not a normal killboard … he is a bit too lucky with that stuff … solo kills all the time … there is something strange in that luck …
so i guess nothing to worry about … no brave new player lost something only a RMT took the bad outcome

I’m a little confused to how this all works. Obviously these expensive items are being bought with plex/real money but why set them up to be lost in Jita? Is it some kind of laundering scheme? But why? Isn’t it perfectly within the rules of the game to buy plex with real money > sell plex for fake money > use the billions of isk to do whatever you want?
Unless of course the plex was bought with a stolen credit card or something and the users are afraid of the account being banned so they make it seem like all the illegal proceeds were lost to other players.
Exactly this. You swipe your credit card on behalf of the RMT trader, and he delivers the goods via loot from a kill. As everybody can loot anything in the game, the connection is difficult to prove.
And sometimes the loot fairy disagrees.
The ‘new’ players and their 500mil isk structure?
It’s funny you don’t think about how new players are blocked out of making wardecs until they can own a 500mil structure…
Moved to Crime & Punishment.
Because there are definitely not enough threads in Crime & Punishment by various concern trolls claiming to want to protect the poor newbies.
No offense, but you need to learn how to spot trolls.
Haha. Actually, I’m pretty sure the OP in this case is not a troll, just yet another incredibly clueless and uninformed player that truly thinks suicide ganking is evil and whatnot.
Don’t attribute to malice that which can be adequately explained by stupidity.
No. Really. Read his history.
A big mistake you’re making is attributing stupidity to those who have malicious intents. I can say this with absolute certainty, because when people believe these assholes are merely stupid, they stop thinking.
Malicious people benefit greatly from those who believe they’re merely stupid.
OP’s an asshole, not stupid.
Aren’t you unfamiliar with the word “aspire”? Wiktionary has it.

Or if this was cherry-picking: why? The odds of saying something that makes no sense due to cherry-picking is way too high IMO.
Think about the wardec change from the perspective of relatively new players, currently focused on PvE, trying to get a handle on the game. You’d expect their Corp to have goals (or at least dreams). How would they react if the solution to a foolishly griefer-friendly game mechanic includes removal of an obvious medium-term Corp objective?
It’s as negative as harassment via wardec was - the message is that EVE doesn’t care much about new players, even when they make an effort to get organized and learn how to play.

“Think of the children.”
You’re not half as smart as you want people to believe.
