Do you want more protection from people in highsec, or less?

What’s your point? Have you actually been to the systems where ganking is happening? Cause Macherials are not even on grid everytime. In my personal observation, machs are never on grid before another ship has established tackle.

Can you confirm without a doubt where the first scan happens? Or are you detached as usual?

If you were to get scanning to go suspect as you want, you think it’s going to be difficult to remove the scanners from machs and put them on disposable alphas?

Why? And since when?
Aside from ship balance passes, content changes are usually designed for altering meta. Not baby steps. And even if this is a baby step, whats the next step? As if this wasn’t the weirdest way of saying you hope to nerf ganking via slippery slope.

The ‘content’ your imagining is nothing. Even a newby AG isn’t going to get fulfilment popping a throwaway ship after it has already served it’s purpose and ‘won’.

Like a null noob doesn’t get fulfilment from killing a cyno alt after the cyno is lit, used and everything’s over. There is zero agency here. They’d get more fulfilment shooting the gankers as it happened. At least then they have a chance of affecting the outcome.

The most nerfed gameplay in the game is being moddycoddled. Lol, ok Dracvlad. Sure.

It’s not going to happen because it’s ultimately pointless change. And don’t forget cargo scanning has wider applications than ganking.

I was genuinely asking how you thought this would lead to content, but it seems you’re grasping at straws and you’ve gotten tunnel vision on this subject, like you have certain other subjects, and are pushing for a nerf ‘at all cost’ just to spite playstyles you don’t like rather than considering the game as a whole.

So no…your answer is, no.

Because they are countering it.

Players use scouts to avoid bumping, manually flying their ship, prop mods, certain rigs, webs etc

There are a LOT of counters to bumping. A LOT.

Even when you’re already bumped, players have escaped bumpers.

Even taking freighters specifically, players have gotten out by using webbing friends, or friends bumping them towards a celestial. Your options are as varied as your imagination.

I think what the problem here, and what has always been the problem for whiny carebears, is that they feel they should always have a ‘get out of jail free card’ no matter how stupid a situation they put themselves in.

  • For example, if i fly my freighter through null and get caught in a bubblecamp, am i as entitled as you to break out somehow? Why not? Surely I’ve been as dumb as you and taken as little precautions as you. Why am i not entitled to the same counter play as you?

  • When i try to pvp low sec in a shuttle and get tackled. Where are my counters?

Why should freighters have even more counters against ganking, when there are hundreds of situations that have no counters?

That is rather amusing, quoting it for fun. And with that I will leave you to your bait posting.

Make cargo scanning a suspect offense, it will cause content for new players.

So, detached then…

Now now Drac. CODE. works very hard to brigand the forums and ensure that only their playstyle is so favored while claiming the opposite.
Here’s to hoping that the new owners favor the majority of players over a dysfunctional minority.

Do you even undock, bro?

Ignoring the truth is your emergency exit in every discussion about this topic right?

That seems to be the difference between me and Drac. I go out and actually experience the game.

Go to Sivala now.
CODE has an insta-lock gnosis on a gate. No mach on grid or even D-scan. But probably one prepped in the Raitaru that has an undock aligned with the gate.

You didn’t, an NPC got that honour.

You enable the kill with bumping, you don’t execute it; if I read @Sitting_Bull_Lakota’s post right an NPC/ AoE weapon is actually executing the kill.

If bumping is all that you’re doing it’s working as intended, no Concord evasion is taking place; because bumping doesn’t summon them, nor does an NPC killing someone.

That seems to be the difference between me and Drac. I go out and actually experience the game.

You appear to be operating under a lack of knowledge.

What knowledge am i lacking? Where have i been wrong?

Honestly, I’d be happy with more players in high-sec. I really don’t care what they do…

Truth and opinions. You are unable to make the difference. Do you want one truth? I play and you don’t.

Updated the initial post.

@Salt_Foambreaker Thank you. I was waiting for this.

Carebears are, as usual, dishonest and cheating.

That, and it is classic forum trolling in that they accuse the person who puts them right of not playing so you put them right and then they accuse you of being elite and boasting and making the discussion about me.

So let me repeat it for them:

Make scanning for cargo and fits a suspect offense in hisec, it will create content.

CONCORD should be removed entirely from the game. There should be no safety net.

Structures that do not appear in your overview will appear on your HUD as blue indicators in the same way as signatures or anomalies, so probing them out would not be necessary. If these indicators do not appear for you, they can be enabled from the compass that encircles the ship’s capacitor. I am pointing this out only for the educational value.

Real world analogy:

Carebears = liberals and “elites” = conservatives.

If you’ve spent any time on a forum where Americans post, you see a lot of vitriol between the two while accusing each other of being liars and cheats.

If you’ve spent any time on the EVE-O forum you see exactly the same thing. So any time I see what I quoted above (And I see a lot of it) , I just roll my eyes and skip to the next post down in the hope that it might be the one in a hundred with some thought put into it.

Way back in the dark ages, Concord was not an auto kill…
One group reached the point they could choke all of highsec and they couldn’t be dislodged.
CCP had to directly intervene at that point to prevent the entire game collapsing.

Learn your history before making dumb suggestions like this that have been shown to be EVE Killing.

Wake up buddy, it’s the same thing everywhere, in any cultures at any epoch, it’s called politics. And trust me, the US debate is polite and civil compared to what can happen elsewhere.
