lol
ITS A BOT
I donât like this crossover at all.
Taking a dead brand and slapping it onto your own doesnât do any good for you.
Who ever came up with this and those on the top who thought that this is a good idea too, should really rethink if they are the right ones for their job. I have my doubts.
Iâve subscribed for Eve and not for a dead TV-series, who only lives of the remnants of an once glory past.
@Aelavaine Problem is SJW have forced all Sci-Fi franchises into shamblesâŚ
And thatâs all this is ROFL.
Preach.
What troll the truth? Youâre literally crying
LOL, imagine thinking sci-fi hasnât always been forward thinking.
They are not. They are events that keep on perverting and removing core elements of the EVE gameplay experience in favor of more shallow, scripted, instanced, uninterfereable experiences. These âadvertising opportunitiesâ are not harmless as they advertise something that is not EVE. They also try to lure in people who donât have the skills or experience to thrive in EVE and instead just dump big bucks to buy skill injectors to be able to run this event. Hopefully lots of them get a real EVE treatment in the process.
WHOVIANS!
âTwoâ late buddy
My bad, i missed it.
Remember: its now bad form to say a corporation is making a decision you dont like.
Be a good customer, keep quiet and enjoy those Dr Who NFTs you can retire on.
X to doubt
You clearly havent an actual grasp of whats happening, but thats ok thats just how the owners of those franchises want it
You can only speak for yourself though, sure the minority seems annoyed by the fact that they didnât see this coming about 4 years ago, so yes YOU are upset, iâm indifferent, and therein lies your issue, you think that the vocal minority is important
Iâm not shutting anything down iâm just pointing out you have already lost because the vast majority of EVE either doesnât care or is happy about the event
I might suggest not investing in a career in PR then lol
Leaving makes a difference, you whining about it and not leaving does nothing, unless you get enough people to vote with their wallets your voice does not matter, only money talks and unless they see an actual decline in their income or massive negative press they wonât care, and youâre currently doing neither
Because the vocal minority isnât actually the majority of the playerbase, so they arenât bothered because what is essentially a handful of players is unhappy
Ignore him, he believes that devs waste time on clothing for avatars, then applauds an event that exists to provide clothing for avatars.
Scarf =/= spaceship in the spaceship game
Mm no. Thatâs us as players doing that. We are the shallow ones friend. This crossover event is as nothing compared to what weâve done to the game.
Youâll find the majority of Americans donât actually know how capitalism works
Heh yes but uh they def do not mine. They straight gank people.
It most certainly is, with a fleshy brain xD (Or is that a spoiler?)
Whilst I used to be a fan of Dr Who (old school and maybe up to some of the recent Doctors) I totally lost interest when the BBC decided to go politically correct and instate a female doctor. Whilst I am not in principle against this, it was so totally whack and not in sync with the whole history of the series, it did not work. Plus, the writing and stories REALLY sucked (and that is why it failed imo).
Itâs gotta be said, crossovers really do not work. This doesnât belong in EVE at all. Itâs as if CCP are running out of ideas. It doesnât mesh, it doesnât even make sense from an EVE lore point of view, and is looking like a cashgrab (even though I bet the IP rights from the BBC cost a pretty penny).
My two cents.
o7
I see no problem lore-wise from either side.
From the whovian point of view the eve storyline is just a very small bubble of lore never explored in the TV-shows. What are 20.000 years of eve history, when the timeline of the Dr. Who universe spans from the begining to the end of time? Dr. Who was always written from the point of view from our present and other then a few reoccuring antagonists like e.g. the Daleks, the Cybermen and the Master most antagonists of the Doctor, where only there for a few episodes over the whole 50 years. So the eve crossover would only take âa few episodesâ at best.
From the EVE point of view:
How much is really known about old earth history in the EVE lore? The EVE lore does only know some small fragments of its own history. Jovians are a mistery, even if they exist during our timeline. We know next to nothing about the sleepers, the triglavians, the talocans etc⌠What goes on outside of the 5.000 systems of know space? 5000 systems in our vast galaxy with milllions of stars? Over a small time span of âonlyâ 20.000 years?
So from a lore standpoint there is no problem. It will be a limited event, after that we can go back to not knowing the history of our own limited bubble of time and space, we call New Eden.
The only thing problematic is:
Will the event live up to the marketing hype? Or will it just be some wornwholes with daleks instead of sleepers?
I predict lower than the standard 10% retention for them as they will be murdered on sight by literally everyone else on general principle. As someone with a very limited history of ganking, I will myself be stepping up to ensure these people do not last in this game. Leave it to CCP to take two unconnected things and present them in a way that utterly ruins both.
CCP Devs: yaâll got a faulty clock up there in iceland. Itâs not April 1st yet. save these shitposts for then.
Ignorant American here, I didnât know what Dr. Who was really. I mean, I have heard of the telephone booth and itâs a British show but I donât know much else. Thanks CCP I will know a bit more now
