Does CCP employees have to pay for their private accounts?
Does it get deducted from their paychecks?
Can they claim it on their tax receipts?

As part of our employment, CCP staff receive five Omega accounts for free that have multiple character training enabled on one additional character slot.
Effectively, this gives us 10 training queues, and 15 character slots.
Given that the accounts are provided for free, skill extraction is both disabled and prohibited on these accounts in the interests of fairness, so that we can’t make ISK effectively for free by skill farming.
If I remember correctly, character transfers are also disabled for the same reason.
If we want to operate any more accounts than that, then we need to pay for them ourselves, and these accounts have normal status the same as any other player account with regards to skill extraction and character transfers.
Personally, I maintain my five free Omega accounts and also have a single alpha account too as it’s good to have the perspective of running both types of account for my work.
Hope this answers your question
Confirmed. Solonius is a Falcon alt.
Thanks for the reply. I feel as though im the first person ever to ask this question. Did not expect Mr Falcon himself to respond. Was expecting an ISD to close the thread with a “We do not discuss CCP here”.
Do I get in trouble if i say yes?
What do you think station sales tax pays for ?
Yeah it’s kind of a silly question I think
You know, I was prepared to come busting into this thread with a double barrel “Why the ■■■■do you care?” but…
Then CCP gave you a frank and honest answer. And im fascinated.
10 skill queues. I don’t know about the rest of you, but I like looking at my skill queue before I log off. It gives me a warm fuzzy feeling. I can’t imagine the warmth nor the fuzzieness of ten skill queues.
I’m sure that will be welcome news for those who tend to paranoid conspiracy theories.
On a more realistic note, I guess that’s so you can experience the various styles of play within EVE.
I wonder if any CCP employee ever gave up on playing EVE Online and never logged in anymore and just focussed on nerfing stuff…
Is running a passive Planetary Production farm with five accounts frowned upon?
Interesting stuff. Are these five accounts usable as admin accounts or are they just a nice pat on the back and free toys at end-user permission level? Are the free subscriptions handed out to CSM’s treated the same with respect to skill extractors? Are the dev-level admin accounts allowed to log in with multiple characters in multiple client instances?
I have so many questions.
Ive opened the floodgates, havent I.
With any luck, we can get away with blaming CCP Falcon for sharing in the first place.
None of which are actually any of your business…
Ah Ha! Another Falcon alt rears its head.
Number of CCP employees times five accounts each minus their accounts equals actual players online lol
Not true - I’m just the forum alt of a fairly new player.
Any more conspiracy theories rattling round in that empty head of yours ?
Exactly what Falcon would say on his alt to try dismissing the truth.
