I think from a Lore perspective there are a couple of parts to this:

  1. Earth is a myth. Very few people in the cluster (capsuleer and non-capsuleer) have even heard the word, let alone believe it is real.

  2. Even if we knew about Earth’s existence, we have no knowledge of where it is, in relation to the current cluster.

The cluster is only part of a galaxy not in the Milky Way and we know of other systems that we don’t have jump gates to, but on the broader scale, we don’t know where Earth would be, or which other galaxy in the Universe it would be.

From memory (and Uriel is the most knowledgeable on the lore so hopefully correct me here), I don’t think we ever directly connected back our current Earth solar system, just to somewhere in the Milky Way.

That requires that we have already also colonized other parts of the Milky Way. Considering that the Milky Way is 100,000 LY across, by the time we eventually leave Earth and have developed enough to colonize other systems in our current Galaxy, even Earth might become a distant memory, let alone by the time we get to a completely different galaxy (if at all).

Looking closer to home, we only need to go back a few thousand years and our knowledge of some societies merges into mythology (eg. Atlantis, City of the Caesar’s, El Dorado, etc.). They are still part of our psyche, but we have no clue whether they were real or not.

20,000 years in the future, in a completely different Galaxy. I think it’s unlikely in that situation that we’d be trying to find a planet we don’t even know about beyond some very feint myths.

Why do you continu posting without saying anything that’s constructive to the topic?

Because its a very rarely brought up myth we also don’t know where it is and our current technology isnt even on par to what the first colonists had as after the colapse of the wormhole there was essentially a dark age alot of information was lost.
It’s also possible it can’t be done in a timely fashion. If Earth and the rest of the Milky Way wasn’t affected by a similar disaster when the wormhole colapsed they would’ve tried to reach us somehow

Why are you ?

Or am I?

Yeah this sounds about right.

Eve lore Jove opening text below

The most mysterious and elusive of all the peoples of EVE, the Jovians number only a fraction of any of their neighbors, but their technological superiority makes them powerful beyond all proportion.

Sound potent

Sooooo they won with handful of ships using superb intel aaaand advanced weaponry due…to…advanced tech…
…maybe it was luck they stumbled on a Intel and than have luck with swath of critical hits out of their rather not advanced weaponry.

Just to put things into perspective here after eve gate collapse 4 current empires went from being monkeys to developing warp drive again jove had three empires lasting over 12 millennia.

Now 12 millennia of continuous evolution not affected by eve gate closure vs 12 millennia of 4 empires farting in dirt plus 120 years of gifted jove tech and we are on their lvl or there about sorry to much respect for eve lore to swallow that.

The Third Empire Jove were only a shadow of the Second Empire, and the short story “Theodicy” goes deep into the background of the battle of Vak’Atioth; the Jove literally had the plans of the Amarr fleet leaked to them. Combining that with their capsule tech, the Amarr didn’t stand a chance. That’s not to say they weren’t advanced still in the modern day, though - their technical superiority absolutely was a thing (especially their wormhole tech), but they’d likely fail to overcome the Triglavians or Drifters in an equal battle.

So what are you saying is trig tech that is PR awesome but rather tame otherwise(there really isn’t any number or tech sticking out really let alone impress) is ahead of jove the same tech that is barely ahead of our own “gifted one”.

wow suck to be jove they got schooled by toddlers and new comers.

It’s more a matter of the Directorate Jove being a dying race, in no position to field any sort of combat force despite their technological advantages, while the Triglavians are the newest, fiercest, and strangest force in New Eden (side note: we’re pretty sure they date back to the Second Empire, so they’re actually older than the Jove Directorate), and the Drifters have powerful technology that, honestly, the Directorate probably has better versions of all of it, but again, the Drifters can field more numbers.

Jove Tech is the strongest around, except for some of the Talocan stuff we haven’t really cracked yet, but that doesn’t mean they automatically win every fight.

For some reason I imagine the whole Eve gate thing being so mysterious that it remains hidden in game lore - in future might be discussed more.

Not sure how it would fit into gameplay though.

Nice idea though.

Eve gate = Doomheim
