So the Drifter Crisis has come to an end. I’m sure we will all be sad to see our Drifter buddies wander back to their little burrows in space-time. However at least they left something behind, some sort of as-yet-unknown tech that everybody but the Gallente has access to.
Gallente folks, take note: your lifestyle of partying and decadence will be your end, and no amount of protesting about “the greed of those who won’t share new discoveries” will change that. You snooze, you lose, Galbros.
Overall I found the event interesting, with a lot of interesting lore, history and discovery involved. See the “Fiction Portal” thread on it for more:
The last stage of the event could have used a bit wider availability of certain types of sites, especially Relic sites in high sec, IMO. Some players really struggled to complete the last stage and some said it wasn’t hard. Overall I found many more highsec players saying they were having high frustration with trying to complete it than otherwise. To the point of giving up participating, in many cases. But it’s possible those players were just the visible vocal portion, since frustrated players seem more likely to talk in chat about it.
At any rate, I give the Drifter Crisis event a thumbs-up, job decently well done from CCP. Some lessons from it should be applied to future events but overall I enjoyed this one. Mostly just observing due to limited time, but enjoyable and interesting nonetheless.
