no… not even close. the problem was the clouds of ECs
You always seem to have a different view of reality to everyone else
… but that’s what happened.
first E-war resistance was given to triage/siege. they way it was done did not work at all for ECM. so it was changed. the second iteration simply gave huge ECCM effects to triage and siege. this was then countered by using hundreds of EC drones on the same ship. even though each had less than a 1% chance to jam the target there was simply so many of them jams would keep landing
Can someone please tell me what range ec-300/600/900 orbit at?
dude you even said the same exact thing shortly after the change… who are you trying to fool?
beginning to think you are just dead set on me being wrong even if it means contradicting yourself
How am I contradicting myself if that was the official line of reasoning? There was also complaints of tengus being used to jam FAX and siege dreads as well, especially in WH space. Did no one think of just fitting smartbombs? I dunno, history in EVE is weird and the recordkeeper is biased in favour of the aggrieved and not the winner.
the tengue thing was during the first pass when they were given ECM resistance.
I’m not going to invest hours of my life to finding any suggestion that ecm drones were jamming dreads as a regular tactic, infact one of the top search results is my own f* thread on ecm drones you already listed @Lugh_Crow-Slave. Gonna need to see some citation because I never heard about ECM drone balls being a problem.
-.- then why did you yourself claim them to be the problem?
A problem for dreadnoughts was the cited reason they got ECM immunity. I never heard of it, but that’s what I was told. Are you gonna run in circles all day or what
and isn’t it funny that damps aren’t penalised while ecm is? perhaps knocking out a dread completely from doing its job (shooting) was a special snowflake circumstance that the devs knew couldn’t be abided? Never mind the server stress
… yeah because instead they are given Damp resistance to a point hat you can at best add a few seconds more lock time to a cruiser.
3 damps knock 30% of a dreads lock range off. Or it increases a lock against a cruiser by over 50%. What are you rabbiting on about?
as endlessly enjoyable as this ■■■■■■■ ■■■■ mechanic is I for one think whoever designed it should be ashamed. It’s like the equivalent of being perma-stunned by a rogue in wow, something that by design isn’t meant to happen
#WORKINGASINTENDED
There is better alternatives that give people advantages over others without the target having to break their keyboard over their screen ECM is just a lazy implementation of ewar nothing more.
Yes, but they don’t give the best tears
ECM is like being in a RL fight with a boxer and a ground pounder. If the boxer can’t take him out before the ground guy gets him in a hold, that’s where he’s going to stay…
ECM is handcuffing your opponent before the fight starts.
See, you CAN win a fight against an ECM boat. In this particular case it only took 18 ships to do it, LOL…
except it’s not and you know it… if you hate it so much just fit sebos
