If you like your tanks sloloming around like they escaped from a Fast & Furious movie, sure. If you want them to move like actual tanksā¦ not so much.
putting the massive problem of the prop mod bans aside for now, this ship types ban thing for me has made this feature actually worse than the old ess, and you donāt need me to explain how badly thought out that was
Iām basically just butthurt because my ship classes of choice are on the naughty list, yes, but it is baffling to me. thereās no explanation, and these ships are extremely weak vs everything and very easily hard-countered, but are arguably the only way to roam semi-effectively without a fleet
my suggestion to prevent lame shenanigans caused by the gameās general balance shortcomings and encourage a wholesome good time would be to allow all subcaps entry, except those with interdiction nullification, a fitted cloak, or d-scan immunity, and to have no prop mod restrictions. obviously still prevent cynos and ā ā ā ā . that would make it pretty cool and is still much easier than fixing those issues properly
Insult him if you must, but being not in a kindergarden is no excuse for using a disadvantaged subset of the human race as an insult - such usage says so much more about the one doing the insulting than it does about the one being insultedā¦
Having 30-45% of isk in the ESS is too much. Between this and the fact that they ruined mining in null I can see a migration back to high sec. Itās not worth fighting over when you can have an alt make more in high sec doing lvl 4s than you can in NULL where there is a high risk of getting ganked.CCP literally does not understand the game
Attackers get the Defenderās Loot drop, And ~40% of their income from the last up to 3 hours, possibly more if you are draining the reserve bank. how is that fair Risk vs Reward?
Think of this like a stake in a fight. To enter the fight, each party puts up 20Mil, winner gets the kill plus 40MIl. except in this case, only the defender is putting up a stake, the Attacker doesnāt have to put up anything at all. you canāt say ship, because BOTH are risking a ship if the defender defends. This is a Terrible Risk/Reward ratio. ā ā ā ā ā ā ā horrendous design by CCP.
To be able to enter the deadspace area, if you havnāt contributed to what is in the ESS, you should be required to pay an ISK amount equal to what is in there already. If you win the fight/noone contests you get it back Plus the Ratterās share. If you lose, the ratter gets your āBuyinā when it pays out. This would actually make the Risk v Reward balanced and in line with what Eveās devās have always CLAIMED was the goal.
THIS (in theory) would actually drive Content, because the ratter actually has something to GAIN by engaging in the fight now. just like the attacker has something to gain by going in there. But if you implement this, watch as the entire system breaks, because the attackers will be too risk adverse to pay their entry fee to the brawl.
Ratting has now gone from an activity I would run casually, for 1 or 2 ticks every day, to a tedious chore. Every hostile that jumps into system has to be chased after like a rabid cat trying to pee on your welcome mat. Because that putrid cat pee never really washes out. So, rather than keep chasing those mangy cats, you just put away your welcome mat. Do you see the analogy here, CCP?
I canāt adequately express what a foolish and poorly thought out aberration the ESS is.
Letās put this another way. You have broken our trust once again, CCP. You know all of those (literal) years we spent paying our monthly fees to train up in skills necessary to be able to rat well? Or, to mine skillfully? You have nerfed mining dreadfully - one of my corpmates, who enjoys mining commented - āevery belt I checked had only 1 or 2 'roids.ā
Now, you have nerfed ratting horribly as well. The activity that we trained in for many months, has been radically short-changed. This is basically fraud. Thatās right - we put in the time and effort and money to be able to reap the rewards, and they have been removed.
We canāt trust you, anymore CCP. This is the pattern of dysfunctionality that you have manifested since Hurricane Helmar introduced blackout.
Muster up what little reason and dignity you have left, CCP, and remove the nerfs. Give us a reason to consider trusting you again.
Wellā¦ I have a job, credit card and time to play video games. I like EVE but I dislike these recent changesā¦ A LOT. Not everyone plays this game solely to PVP.
I am going to need some pretty damn good reasons to continue paying for a subscription, beyond temporary skins as a daily log in rewards.
Its ok to be straight up upset about a serious nerf to your chosen playstyle. But CCP didnāt commit fraud, they have every ability to modify the game as they wish.
Scoots, let me first say that I appreciate that many of your posts donāt hurl insults, but genuinely contribute to the discussions
CCP can change EVE at any time, according to contractual obligations. They have the right per the EULA/TOS (genuine legal documents/agreements) but there is a larger issue of goodwill that is more important. How many players would pay for monthly subs to train up omega skills for many months if they realized their time, effort and subscription fees would be wasted?
Businesses, like mine, donāt concern themselves very much with what they can legally do. They care more about the expectations and needs of customers to preserve the faith and goodwill between both parties. That keeps customers happy.
CCP has broken the promises and expectations of paying players. They have the legal right to do so. But they have lost the trust and goodwill through their misconduct and indifference.
