EoM (Equilbrium of Mankind) Avatar in Highsec yesterday (Live RP event)

You are the one that started whining about “Why haven’t CCP done x”
And sure, they are known for excellent videos, that doesn’t make them fast or easy to produce and this EoM stuff looks at this stage to be a seasonal event that we do not usually get large quantities of video for. Trig content was the main focus of three quadrants.

I asked a question which you obviously can’t answer, also you can take your ‘whining’ crap and shove it…

And you don’t work for CCP so you don’t know if making videos is or isn’t easy for them.

Bwahahahahaha. Nice try mr alt.

Even when they go after appreciative audience, they will disappoint majority of it. Like yesterday, people went searching for the can to then find it empty, because it wasnt spawning SKINS for those who hack it, but there was only one SKIN there and it was looted by first person.

Because it’s CCP = Can’t Code Properly

The event was aimed at the RP community, the last thing CCP or the RP community wants is a bunch of normies turning up, ruining the rp’s day & knocking their fun day into 10% tidi ■■■■ show with 1000 man fleets & lore breaking alpha strikes from a blob. If you want that go to 1DQ & shoot a keeps star. You have access to that 24/7.

The main issue is when such back door events drop insane loot, ie, if the thing was packed full of T2BPO’‘s or rare ship bpo’'s. This was a problem habit CCP had for a long time that has left gaping sucking chest wounds in player numbers & sever integrity.

Having private pet parties with private prizes that are worth trillions takes its toll. Having a fun day out for a sub section community & allowing only those with a finger on the lore pulse is fine. RP rare loot drops is fine, game breaking stuff like T2BPO’s is not fine.

I like that Amarr Certified News informs this event.

@Arsia_Elkin made a good comment on Talking In Stations recently. The in-client action is a fraction of the game that is played out in the Intergalactic Sumit forum.

I’m actually enjoying the game more at this moment because being without access to the client means I’ve been picking up the threads of the plots the role-players are putting down.

You too can contribute to the tapestry of “the in-game events” that your proxy vessel was not present for by adding strings of concepts to the canvass set before us.

CCP has put a patch of cobalt and gunmetal on the weave, but that is just the start of the intricate needlepoint embroidery that the roleplayers are developing.

EVE is advertised as a role-playing game. How could it not be?

What is the distinction between the two?

I do not envy CCPs balancing act. Look at all those plates spinning! Sure one or two are a bit wobbly and need energy input, but overall I’d say that the performance is magic.

You find it hard to balance between an inert game item ascioated with lore with no in game use & an item that allows you to margin cut an entire aspect of industrial creation, An item which has unique destruction mechanics in opposition to the item non pet players have to use?

You sir have just outed yourself as CCP’r or at least a next candidate for hire.

I’m simply asking you by what process are you making this array of distinctions.

  • every item on the database is a lore item because the whole game engine is telling a story, or will be.
  • orphaned items get deleted I assume.
  • balance issues are included in the lore of the Venn diagram of eve online

My human resources are my own, thank you for your consideration.

I get it, you feel excluded. I’m trying to show you that neither CCP or PET players (I choose to believe you mean; perpetually entertaining thespians) are being cliquish.

I learnt to program on a PET
Not sure if i could get Eve running on it though…

I’m glad to see more interactive RP content being run by CCP - even those that decide not to engage with the Empires are still living in that dynamic and evolving universe. When changes happen. (regardless of whether you like the change) it is always better for there to be a reason for it rather than just a case of PING! “change”. I like engagement with the wider story and politics of the Empires. It gives Eve a nice feeling of place and home - to me at least.

For example, there are in-game reasons for the industrial changes that have just happened: the adoption of technology into the ships for the various factions to harden them against attacks by Triglavians that disrupted the capsuleer/ship bonding. A concept that is also tied into why the major empires faired badly against the Triglavians and why the independent capsuleers had to lead the fight (and to the Empires, yep we are expendable!).

It is a balancing act CCP have to maintain - Eve is an RP game. And a Space combat game. And an Economic simulation game. And a Strategy Game. And it’s own unique Eve-thing. That’s what makes it great. And yes, if you view Eve as one thing and see another aspect getting a bit of love you’ll feel jealous and grumble that CCP aren’t giving you unconditional love today.

That big events are found out because someone was watching the in game news and then pinged all their friends over social media is very much how news spreads today anyway.

Still its not something players could set up, so really, its just CCP feeding those who push through queues. As usual.

How could it be otherwise? Quantum computing is reserved for the military.

Huh? Is that to me or the forums being wierd?

Ah sorry I have that enabled by default in-game. That recording was basically a grab of what I see and hear as a player.
