EVE CLASSIC

So alliance tourney then, k got yah.

But seriously there is multiple eve servers, two regional and 2 separate platform based.

They’re are only a couple of ways of be ok with anything like this.
1, I’d want to be able to transfer my characters over, not start from scratch.
2. I’d want to play at the point where wormholes were in game, the learning skills were still there, and the old clone system and skill loss was back in place.
3. No more mtx other than plex. Original, when it was a pilots license extension that could be bought and sold for isk or used for a month of game time.

See what I mean… apocrypha

It was so long ago and I’ve taken so many breaks I never know what features were in what release. I just remember what I like best.

Me and my friends are in! Where do we sign up ? Apoc. FTW.

Edit: New corp. changes + exploit fixes would be welcome in apoc.

You are including a temporay event server?

Oook…

That was really that last of the sandbox releases, after that is the merry go round era.

No T2 seeding what so ever. Let the industrialists make T2 stuff. No more cheating and being top 1%.

Did you know:

So many people have left World of Warcraft and joined Final Fantasy XIV that its literally breaking their servers?

EvE hasnt seen any of this money.

Im sure thats probably a good thing. What do you think CCP ?

That makes me wonder what’s gone wrong with FFXIV.
WoW has for a long time represents everything wrong with MMORPGs. Hell, it even managed to mess up DnD 4th edition.

Im not really getting the jokes, sorry.

ADnD went in the dirt from 3rd ed onwards.

Agreed. 4th adopted the tank/dps/heal model and made your character’s abilities far more dependant on having the right gear. Total power/meta gamer wonderland.

“You can’t go home again.”

It’s all a moot point anyway, as EvE finally is actually dy…in sharp decline.

classic would mean there is no plex or mtx of any kind right? now why would they launch a new, fair server where everyone gets a chance to fight for glory by in game means only if that will cut their profits by 80%? whole game is based around selling isk and skills for real money, they dont want any whales start playing on a server where they cant whale. and if you do leave plex and mtx in eve classic as well well…that aint classic then now is it? credit card swipers will dominate it all again fast

Or my dear OP, you could go back to this:

I bet that would fix just about everything including random disconnections and all the sniveling about cloaked campers and the new player experience!
Just think!
People might have to (gasp!) stand up to play, free exercise!!

Seriously though I’m not old enough in Eve (or reality) to remember this stuff.
I do know that a very long time ago when there was a week long trial I made an account and died and died and died and when my trial expired I forgot all about eve more or less. Many years later, in I think 2019 I signed back did the tutorial, got killed, didn’t know I had been killed and flew my pod all the way to the far edge of what I now know is nullsec. I wish, just from that newer begining that I had found a reason to stick with Eve back when I made my first account, but what I do know is that as a non-gamer back then I would not have made it without my free alpha account. It took me a long time to learn enough about Eve in my current incarnation and with out being able to play as an alpha clone I don’t think I would still be here. Being new is fairly brutal, paying to die is kind of counter intuitive untill, at least for me, you start to understand that to play Eve you have to be in for the long haul.
My grasp of the long haul aspect of Eve happened when I realized I wanted more and finaly grasped that I could get it, that the skill queue wasn’t holding me back but was in fact pacing the learning curve, and that I could do things like cloak, not in years but in days. It was cloaking that got me to go omega in the begining though I had already gotten pretty good at living in wormholes without it.
There have been a lot of changes in the time I’ve been playing, and a lot of them were things I didn’t like, and I bitched for a while. Like really hard. I wasn’t happy about some of this stuff, however I learned a few things here on this forum and a lot of things ingame as well. None of the changes that have happened are things I cannot find a way around (with the exception of “pay to advance” crap which I can’t stand. To me that is the only sandbox breaking element of Eve, paying to jump forward in time.

They are getting some like me back. BUt…i have 9+ years of time in trained chars.

even though hi sec missioning is not thrilling…it pays way better than a korthia grind fest.

But yeah…ff14 has pegged servers. Twice even lol.

Doesnt anyone play games for fun anymore?

Anyone who says amassing wealth isn’t fun is not human.
