So what does one call a person who amasses great volumes of space bucks and tells no one of their wealth?
Looks like childrens went to school. Since few days the amount of players is even lower than previous week.
I can describe one of the mission-running nerfs, but it was so long ago, that it can’t be relevant anymore.
Any time you see a metal scrap in an NPC wreck, that replaces a T1 blueprint-made module in the old loot tables. Players used to make a fair bit of isk by looting extra T1 stuff from wrecks and reprocessing for mins or selling.
This was changed during CCP’s war on “gun mining”, which also saw rogue drone NPC’s stop dropping drone compounds and instead pay isk bounties.
T1 items still drop, but only the meta 1-4 variants, that drop with a chance that gets lower as the Meta number goes up.
I really miss that drone poo; the bounties are ok, but that you can get from any other mission/site. Strangely enough, I found that reprocessing certain dropped modules leads to an apparent 20%+ increase over simple selling. No means the majority of items, but I’ve m starting to collect a list of items I’m auto reprocessing for the minerals.
Exactly perfectly said. And may I add what I know among my real-life friends who used to play, the number 1 reason they left the game FOREVER was because of the over the top toxic attitude and language of these legends in their own minds elitist SEWER RATS who beat everybody about the head because they do not play the game correctly according to them and they do not know as much as they do about the game. Who in their right mind wants to be immersed in that kind of toxic environment playing a game? People play games to have FUN not to be beat down daily by the games elitist SEWER RATS!!!
nah they havent touched that line yet that i want them too, but than again they cant even stop alpha multiboxing
a few months after the release of alphas they had a blog released how smashing the single log on of alphas balance was and they were planning to do it to omega. 2-3 months later that section of the blog was deleted. wish i had taken a pic of it.
That would have been dumb, for the business - main nul blocs account for 150k characters, probably 5 to 1 real person as a conservative figure (30k players) - so say 2-3 accounts each (60k-90k accounts) - I doubt they seriously want to risk losing all of them… Eve go byebye
Last count was about 1.6 or 1.7 accounts per player across all of EVE.
If null has that ratio work out how many other players have to be active to make the maths balance.
My guess is that’s even more players in null than you give credit for there.
Quite possibly, CCP revenue is estimated around $50m (if the PA earning report is anything to go by - just read a highlight, so can’t verify data - but seen elsewhere a similar estimate) - but that includes all sorts of stuff outside of Eve and inside - skins, plex etc rather than just accounts.
My guesstimate above would account for around $10m/year for subs alone in null
Yet the WOW Classic servers have a lot of people in them and over 1 million people are watching it on Twitch.
I think you will find the numbers are due to WOW.
$10 million / $15 a month /12 months = 55,555
really?
And this is your estimate for the area that uses the most Plexes to pay for their accounts, that would mean most of EvE would have to be in Null and that is not the case.
Shhh.
I do the same, got a nice list that generally yields 20-25% over market value by reprocessing.
30,000 players x 2.5 accounts x $15 x 12 months = $13,500,000 - subs alone
I think you are being optimistic about the total number of players in EVE.
You may be thinking too much about PCU numbers.
Actual subs are probably understated by that poster if anything. Not everyone logs in on a daily, or even weekly basis.
16,000 players at the height of getting home after work to play in the USA. Yea nothing to see move along.
Today two of my four friends playing Eve, quit saying Triglavian Invasions are more opressive than wardecs.
…two more AFK miners gone…so sad…
Frigate pilots. Sometime mine only to make more frigates.
All mine have stopped playing long ago.
