Eve do not forget your new players

Haha, thanks for the detailed explanation. " attack mode" as I put it is just a reference to a manner in which you approach a subject or individual. I believe it was obvious that I was not referring to an actual physical attack. Lol.

No, the law defines it differently. I’m sorry to stump you Solstice Projekt

I don’t know. I am certainly not attacking anyone at all just by calling assholes assholes, no matter how anyone wants to interpret it. I understand that we have different perspectives on the matter, but the perspective doesn’t change that I’m not attacking anyone.

Plus, if anyone is feeling attacked by harmless words on a screen in front of him, then the problem’s unlikely to be my words.

I hope i didn’t imply that, my totally non-offensive posts on one thread were flagged, and on topic in the last 10 minutes…maybe 2-4? But then I went on a CODE(?) thread and they seem strangely aggressive.
Especially to new players, that encourages growth eh? Survival of the fittest when a lamb?

I think the flagging is just LSG having another psychosis. She used to have multiple dozens of alts.

It needs around ten flags to get a post hidden and the forum doesn’t have high enough traffic, at this time at least, for this to happen in mere minutes. Exceptions, of course, exist, usually restricted to the most offensive of offensive posts where literally everyone reading it actually cares enough about getting rid of it.

That’s simply not the case 99% of the time.

Where are they doing that?

I don’t want to offend anyone, there’s enough people bent on that it seems. I’m not a space hippy, but I’m not pushing buttons unnecessarily.

I don’t want to offend anyone either. I don’t care about that at all. It is neither your nor mine responsibility to care about the feelings of others when it comes to such simple things as words on a screen.

I’m simply being honest, open and not hiding either the actual meaning behind my words, nor their intent.

I’ve been analyzing this years ago.

Here’s the thing …

No one can know who might feel offended, which causes a situation where everyone becomes afraid of saying something that might offend someone. It doesn’t stop at “asshole” and you’re probably well aware of that. Even differing opinions nowadays get shouted down and censored when the fascist asshole faction decides that that’s what’s needed to be done.

It ends in a society where people begin isolating themselves from others, because they can never tell who might, or might not, be potentially offended and making a huge fuzz about likely nothing.

At the end that’s turning into a totalitarian society full of weak minds incapable of dealing with their feelings. Everything’s policed, either by the people themselves (Hello, Nazi Germany) or by technology AND the people themselves (Hello, US of A).

Anyhow, let’s get back to the original topic.

Oh, well I’m having fun as a new player. The injectors rock, make me useful right away and I love NPC relic and data sites in wh’s. Big isk.
The market in jita is moving, which means lots of people are dying which is also good, in a way?
I trained up a alt on this account for trade up to margin trading 4 and did the caldari data centre missions. You just need to lay out a plan for somewhat passive revenue when starting I believe plus a few caldai navy missions bringing my standing up to 3ish, the margin trading alt has almost afforded me a small injector daily.

Don’t burn yourself out. It happens to too many who think that they need to have “money” to actually enjoy the game. You might have insomnia and a different approach to how you deal with your time, but excessive trading burns out everyone.

Usually, the best way for making isk is by playing the game in a way that’s fun, and ignoring when isk isn’t actually coming in. People with an isk-centric playstyle usually miss out on most of the fun stuff.

Nowadays, apparently, the best fun way for making isk is salvaging other people’s wrecks in invaded systems. Others do 90% of the work for you, which makes your income/effort ratio look tremendous!

Like stealing ore from a jetcan miner. Best ore/hr one can achieve.

I appreciate the advice. I realize paying for accounts now requires quite a lot of work for new players. Plexes, the things, used to be $300mill when last played?
I will be subscribing my toons, only trying to build money for in-game stuff.

I think it’s pointless unless necessary. If you don’t have money to play eve, get a job? Next is wrapping my head around these travaglian ships as I’m trained up to cruiser.

Like everything I plan to stay with, I need to build a stable foundation.

Another post in the new player section about my experiences was flagged. I think I’m done here. Have fun?

Reading and abiding by the forum rules might help you avoid issues. The new player section in particular is a no trolling/violation of forum rules zone. The crime and punishment section is the only place where posting killmails is permitted.
Forums aren’t unbearable…mostly…
I’ll have to go see your NCQ&A post.

Nothing to do with rules, unless this is a remake of 1984 in a viideo game forum. Angry players who troll others and try to ruin experience. Dissect my posts as you like.

People have worried about new players since the first newbie quit.

However there is nothing to worry about, new players who are not suited for EVE (aka The Fodder) will come, die, whine and leave no matter what the devs do. If they change wardec then the new players will quit when ganked mining, if not that then hauling, if not that then gate camp.

If a person is the kind of sore loser who quits upon defeat their departure is inevitable.

They picked a game not suited to their playstyle.

This is how The River Fodder flows

thanks for the help?

I miss the humour, but I’m only waking up. The trading in jita last night had me in a trance my wallet was blinking like crazy. Each transaction is profit :+1:

Removed some spam.

As this seems to happen to you a lot it’s less likely a problem with others, and you are indead doing something wrong.
