You conflate the Eve playerbase with the broader playerbase. As I said earlier, Eve is a niche game. It appeals to the people that games like WoW do not appeal to. If they change, they lose that niche and along with it, their remaining players.
There’s a very real reason that WoW clones all die. Care to guess what it is? They try to fit WoW’s market; when WoW already has that market cornered. Eve has survived for 15 years by having its own market. Smaller it may be, but it’s all ours.
You have to be trying to be obstinate. Surely by now, through all of the stuff that CCP has directly said, you cannot believe that HS should be safe space.

You really think that PA will not try to expand the player base because Old_Pervert says it.
The basic rule of every business is that it has to be expanded, the CCP has been unsuccessful in that and has gone broke and has therefore been sold.
There are currently millions of MMO players in the world and it is realistic to expect that PA will try to attract as many as possible to Eve Online.

If you get what you want, you will actually accomplish something that nobody’s managed to do in the last fifteen years, actually kill EVE.
I’ve actually seen this kind of crap happen in RL. A local taxi company decided that because his cabs were non-smoking that all other cabs in town should be as well. He lobbied like hell to make it happen, and eventually got his way. BIg claps on the back for bringing the rest of the market in line with his progressive ideals.
He went out of business six months later. Turns out the ONLY reason people were using his cabs were that they were smoke-free.

I understand that some people want to play in a PvP free environment, but there are so many other games out there offering a “PvE only” experience. Why not play one of those games?
Eve Online is the most popular game (that I’m aware of) that actually has PvP everywhere + non PvP gameplay mechanics - mixed together in one game. If someone can name another game that accomplishes this - please let me know, and I’ll check it out.

You should check out world of Warcraft. It’s a larger player base, and seems to offer exactly what you want. There an actual PvP flag or button, so you can set it to remove yourself from PvP.
Currently playing Black Dessert Online, and when EVE becomes similar to BDO then I will renew my Eve Subscription.

Read my posts…i don’t want to kill pvp comepletly…just move it into low and 0.0 and both side sanctioned PVP would still be possible in high even under my agenda ,just let BOTH sides agree to it(like in duels)
