EVE is doomed

Amarr had more than 250 players today. What is it? Everybody staying indoors with air conditioning cause of the heatwave? I know I am.

It’s a big planet and only a tiny little part of it is having a “heat wave” at the moment. So I doubt that’s the reason for Amarr having 250 characters in system.

How hot is a heatwave for you? Also is the humidity wet or dry?

Downunder we have summer and there are parts in where it is a very dry heat which gives you a headache if you don’t get out of the direct sunshine.

/website windy . com/ says it will be 28C in London today so I guess that is warm.

Unless you are in or around China and India where it’s been flooding with rain (which case they would be inside anyways), the most of the rest of the northern hemisphere has been or is in a heatwave. Even if it’s just normal summer heat, people are likely to be inside. And yes it’s Winter in the south, but most of the population lives above the equator.

For me it’s 6:15 PM and 28 degrees. 37 with the humidity. Coolest day this week and definitely not even close to a heat wave. Just average. Plenty of people in the park. Thousands at the city beaches.

Weather is relative.

So Eve would only be doomed if capsuleers didn’t take care of themself is way I see things.

It’s been in the 40’s celcius for a week at least. I have all the windows open and there’s an intermittent breeze coming in. I have no air conditioning but I’m Mediterranean so I can withstand a lot of heat. I stayed in Arizona for 6 years so I know when the heat is excessive.
Also, the humidity is always wet, that’s why we call it humid  But no, it’s been dry as hell. Today I was at the fair in my village and saw huge plumes of smoke yonder past the hills. It looks like our forest was burning. Probably was.

Do you have a 40cm pedestal fan?
I use the outback 4x4 method of air rushing over dripping water.

I use no fan. Open windows seems to do the trick. It’s bearable in the shade, too. It’s worse between 10am and 6pm. Tomorrow is supposed to be cooler. We’ll see.
