EVE has been dying for so long that any number of games have come and gone during its death throes.

Its entire existence has been like one of those really long death scenes that heroes get in the movies, except minus the monologue.

EVE has been dying for so long that some of the devs have actually tried to kill it to see if it’s even possible.

Look ma! Another Eve is dying thread. Before I even started playing Eve I was seeing posts like this.

This is the longest “dying” game I have ever seen.

Eve is a phoenix. It might look sick and dying and then boom, some flames and smoke and you have Eve again. Also posting since the tutorial thing doesn’t let me post PM images as a new user.

When Star Citizen 1.0 gets released 5 years after the EVE servers get shut down we’ll all look like fools for staying with this dying game.

Other MMOs that came out from 2002-2004ish are dead. I don’t think Eve is dead, of course it’s certainly not immune from regular peaks and valleys. I don’t understand the attitude or the desire to prove to anyone that the game is dead. Unless maybe just to yourself.

It has been dead for some time. We’ve all passed on the the “next Eve” and did not realize we’ve passed on. It’s the natural reaction we ghosts have when passing. It looks the same but its just because Eve heaven looks exactly like normal Eve. Eve hell also looks the same except in Eve hell dogs can whistle.
