Very weird issue today with Windows Eve; Started the Eve Launcher. It downloads some files. It updates it cache. It asks me to hit “OK”. It restarts. And then it crashes. But get this; It deletes Eve/Launcher/evelauncher.exe in the process. Even my desktop icon disappears. The file is nowhere to …

Okay, success, for now. Uninstalled, deleted remnants of the program and user data, reinstalled, and ran Launcher as admin (5th or 6th time over 3 days). At the Launcher has updated itself prompt I chose “Cancel” this time. Launcher continued downloading files and let me reenetr account info and l…

It has something to do with the latest version of Eve’s launcher, so I don’t don’t how permanent this fix is. You will know at the next update

True, but I hit “Cancel” till it stops.

However, when I start the Launcher up, the splash screen appears for a brief instant and then disappears without a trace… So what do I do now? I went through…

This solution seems to be working for some but did not for me. My problem may have been AVG-related and I was too slow to recognize it. However, thanks for posting this solution again. It’s on CCP’s Support site, but likely more visible here.

So this happened to me aswell, only WHILE i was playing. I was playing (L4 Mission - Guristas Extravaganza) and suddenly the Launcher popped in the front and started updating. 5 Secs later it closed itself, some moments later the whole game closed itself. Frantically i try to log in again, but surp…

Sorry for your loss. You can perhaps petition CCP for it. Seems these errors are antivirus-related. Something in the new update triggered. See; [image] [RESOLVED] 20211116 - Issue with Avast Antivirus and the EVE launcher Announcements We are investigating a reported iss…
