This is not about you this is about new players and why THEY are abandoning Eve

Lets say that OP represent majority of new players in Eve
That raise 2 questions:
- Could Eve change enough to attract and keep new players
- Could Eve survive withouth a new players ( ofc this one is rhetorical question
)

Reading a few posts while I download the game, haven’t logged in for 3 months and everything has stopped working (also having to reactivate each account, ugh).
What can be said about this topic and original post, seen it before? don’t care? troll? abuse everyone?
It’s the same post I read many, many years ago while waiting for the game to originally download. Game is too hard. Everyone hates me. I’ll only ever be a punchbag.
What has changed to stop me joining the band wagon? F2P…………
The game has launched a f2p option. Before it launched, most of us said it would be pointless as you can’t do anything with the limits. We now have new players taking a look at the ‘Mighty EVE’ and the first thing they see is they can’t do anything worth while as f2p or try and get frustrated.
This isn’t the start I had, I bought a cheap pack for £2.99 (hunted the internet for a day to find that) which came with a month of game time. By the end of that month I had in game PLEX’d a pile of new toons and never looked back, well, until the rage quits and burnouts. The f2p start doesn’t give the option to do what you want, or in fact any option other than to take a look and/or die.
The solution? We could start typing them and never stop. Remove f2p? Cheap Sub time for playing longer than x hours in a month on ftp? It makes no difference what we say or probably even the devs, the management rule and most probably couldn’t tell the difference between this and WOW other than by the revenue.
Make the f2p option worthwhile for new players or remove it (don’t care if they get 2 weeks in a non PVP new account area). If established players want to abuse it? Some people will always exploit but at least they are logged in so the game looks busy.
lol, I think I’ve just talked myself out of coming back, can’t be bothered with the crapp, even the £99.99 Sharn pack is starting to look inviting…………
