EVE needs a place new players can try PVP easily

I dont agree with you. I can remember my start and those of many people playing this game for a long time. It´s always the corporation that makes people stay. If you can fill a role in fleet you can take part in corplife. Everything else is coming by time passing by.

You do see what people in corps do to get money. You see the ships they are flying. Its enough guidance and motivation.

You could always use SiSi for pvp training, since they won’t lose anything.

Dumbing down EVE will not be good for the game (I don’t pvp). But accusing someone for being a vet when they are in fact new I just stupid.

Normally I never agree with zhalyd and his trolling of how much he hates ccp, but I’m in agreement with him in this thread.

There is enough instanced pvp to learn. There is no such thing as fair fights and I’ve never seen one newbro complain about it.

Sorry I’m not responding to you anymore. You are just being ridiculous.

Is suggesting that a new player should use the test server to learn the game a good idea? I don’t think so at all. I think the fact you have to suggest that shows something is missing from the actual game.

Overwhelming new players is not good for the game either. Go and talk to new players in rookie chat, many of them complain about being overwhelmed with information.

You’ve never talked to a newbro, that’s why.

But that is what eve always was like. You have to learn it. Step by Step. And its not even necessary to understand pvp in eve in the first weeks. Its no game for coming in play for some time and become a fortnite hero.

^^ TL;DR

Here’s a spaceship, perform an impossible sexual act on yourself.

Isn’t introductory PVP to learn the basics of piloting your ship in PVP the definition of step by step?

It’s a 18 yr old game, of course new players are going to be overwhelmed. But when the bittervets stop being jackasses and newbros stop being entitled brats, Eve can be a welcoming place to get podded upon your first undocking

No the basics of piloting your ship doesnt need to happen in pvp.

Well maybe there’s an argument for trying to reduce the feeling of being overwhelmed for new players?

I guess not if you class PVP as being an F1 monkey in a fleet.

But you cant change the feeling of being overwhelmed without changing what eve is.
If people are playing for a long time and try new parts they never did that feeling is coming back.
If you start solo-pvp that feeling is coming back.
This is no themepark where you need to held peoples hands and guide them from a to b to c.

You should tell them: Eve is difficult. Get some friends that can help you.

There’s plenty of fleets that teach newbros how to pvp. RvB specifically does this. I think EVE Uni does too. So there’s opportunities to learn pvp in fleets.

This idea is not going to change what eve is. Stop being hyperbolic.

But it doesnt help either. Its ok you have your idea of what ccp should do. I think you are wrong. You have to life with my oppinion too

Talk to new players. It’s very difficult to convince them to join a corp.

Been playing 3 months, you don’t need to be a 10 year vet to understand the concept of jumps. Also just because you’re new to a game doesn’t mean you have to be a scared little chicken.

In fact you’ve been around since 2011, what would you know about what a new player need?

Perhaps this kind of players wont be happy with eve anyways.

Sure, I might be wrong, but so far the arguments for why I’m wrong haven’t been convincing. Just extreme hyperbola.

You don’t have to join a corp to do fleets… RvB keeps a fleet up for anyone to join. Stop making excuses. If a new player wants stuff handed to them like a fair fight they can go somewhere else
