EVE needs a place new players can try PVP easily

and CCP has stated when outside resources are better than what they can do, they prefer that over them trying to overstuff the game with things that 3rd party devs can do

So your problem is that there’s a learning curve, and newbies will suffer losses as they climb it?

I meant what activity would people tell them to do.

Everyone here has forgotten that there is no entry level pvp anymore. There is no where you can go out and try things out on your own. It’s always about waiting for others or pitting new players against people like this:

Hello to everyone !

I am a new player that started Eve recently and wanted to shoot other players . I just want to say that it was a bit confusing at start , i got destroyed by the police and gate cannons a few times , but eventually i managed to get in lowsec by rookie channel . There is a system just 3-4 jumps i think from Wallmart .
It wasn’t so hard , you buy ship , fit it an go there , many players in that system . If no one is in the sites just ask in local chat, someone will come and fight you .
I just wanted to say it wasn’t hard to find other combatants.

Nothing new players can learn against this:

Unless you mean they learn not to take fights.

It’s got nothing to do with losses Mr Strawman, but nice try trying to turn this into some carebear thing when it isn’t. It’s the psychology of why bother trying when I’m fighting someone with a more powerful ship, more skills, and more experience. Only dumb people think that’s going to encourage people into PVP.

Also, learning curves can be too steep. Fact.

I see. Yes, I would not know where to send a new player to learn PVP other than trying to hook them up with someone who will sit and train them up.

Because they can still win a fight.

There’s things newbies can do against Daredevils. Use a destroyer. Destroyers are cheap and low SP requirement for a lot of firepower.

Newbies can also team up/bring friends. “Solo PvP” is a false goalpost.

Well that’s what you said, Ms. Shiftinggoalposts: “survive longer than 3 seconds”.

So your problem is loss.

No, they can’t. Look at it from the reverse perspective, if you are a good PVPer with a faction ship, are you ever losing to a new player who turns up in a T1 ship, of course you aren’t.

Cringe take.

I have won fight against older player , sorry i do not know how to link kill report from the game here , but i am not lying . It felt very good and rewarding after losing a few ships and it was pure adrenaline and so much fun than destroying the red npc. I know they have more experience than me , yes powerful ships too , i have learned but after working hard i won a fight.

I mean your argument literally boils down to:

“Newbies need a safe space to learn PvP in HiSec, because why bother with FW: they’re just going to lose because SP/ship type/experience.”

Literally.

When I was a newbie I killed tons of vets in fancy ships…

Yep. when are you going to tell me whats wrong with that. All you are doing is moaning.

I already did. It’s redundant. We already have FW. Which not only is a place for them to earn ISK, but also a place where they can join established corps and learn the ropes in a team. They don’t need HiSec training wheels just because there’s a learning curve.

Ironic.

Explained already why that’s a stupid opinion.

Caitlynn , are you reading what i said ? you mention this is for new players , i am a new player . are you ignoring me ?

At this point you’re reasoning in a closed loop. You’re not going to get anywhere like that.

Doesn’t want to be embarrassed that he’s wrong in what he says, so yes he will ignore you, or think you are a vet posing as a newb.

i am just new and don’t know much , but i learned from my experiences that pvp is there and it’s not hard to make it happen.
