EVE Online Ecosystem Outlook

Chaos is the opposite of order, of predictability. Static is order, chaos is dynamic.

eg having the belts respawn avery day at DT is order. Having the belts spawn randomly, with a 10H margin , is chaos.

So CCP, to be clear, you’re going to fix the income imbalance by crippling the income of the lowest income players and implementing market changes that affect people with more limited capital? I mean sure, you might reduce overall income by pushing out smaller players but you’re inflating the wealth gap substantially. How is this a good idea?

Well, I think you have to understand some real life parallels here.

Like when people talk about “wealth redistribution” they never, even mean everyone will become wealthier. They mean to take things away from people who have it and spread it around to those who don’t have anything, the end result being that nobody has much of anything but it’s now “equal”.

So what will happen is the devs will find ways to nerf playstyles, ships and regions rich in resource or isk generation and spread those out so everyone will have a much tinier piece of the pie and most people are worse off as a result.

If you’re a noob or someone who hasn’t spent the time developing the methods to generate resources or isk you might be better off, but only because everyone else will just be dragged down to the same level.

Did we read the same post because:

That means its a phase so I have no idea where you are getting “It is not a phase” from.

Every time i read ‘in collaberation with the CSMs’ me eyes roll a little and I start to feel doubt.

What I’m interpreting that to mean is the next 5 years will also be about redesigning Null from the ground up whilst everywhere else gets token changes despite the glaring risk/reward issues…

Skip the first 12 or 13 minutes if you don’t care about hearing about Dust or Project Nova, they start talking about EVE at around that point.

Hello

"

  • Vision
  • All EVE Online players are deeply engaged in a universe full of non-repetitive activities with intuitive risk/reward ratios while not competing with cheaters

"

i don’t understand this one, is that something you want to do or you believe Eve have non-repetitive activities ? if that something you want to do why it’s not in the “Goals” section ? thx

something else, it seem you want to decrease the number of ISK people gain, seem like you want to half it, why you think isk-gain is a problem in Eve ? for me the problem in EvE isn’t the ISK people can farm but “EXPLOSION” if they can make 1B/H it’s not a problem if there no asset safety (even in HS) and this money will dissapear, it will even increase conflict as people won’t need to farm H24 (that pretty much the case now, if you don’t have a MS or 15account and juicy moon)

and finally don’t you think passive moon was a better system ? the ISK was for the Alliance wallet (SRP / structures (and some greedy fucker)) alliance had plenty of money to spend in doctrine and spend everything in war / conquer, people had less money because they can’t farm moongo etc etc

if you want to achieve everything you want, remove active moon and bring back passive moon (and nerf their timer / no hardener etc etc, make them weak AF unless you want TAPI/Imperium/Pandafam to ■■■■ every LS-boy and small NS alliance) > less money , more war

it’s all moons, in all systems, high, low, null, wh

Guess we’re all in the same boat now

Vision is the grand scheme that dictate the small goals.

eg vision : having a healthy country, so we make laws to improve the health situation.

That’s in regards to resources not ISK; agreed not the best way to word it but if you’ve been reading previous devblogs and/or are able to understand context you should have no trouble understanding that.

I took that part to mean that the CSM shouted at them long enough that they even bothered to post this. Their entire stance until this post was to be as vague and covert as possible.

Why do I need to link the podcast, I quoted the devblog we are reading. If you have some other evidence, feel free to provide it and consider it may be out of date since today is the most recent information we have.

STOPPPPPPP,
why are you all writing here? they dont care, they dont read, they do what they want and not what we need…

Seems like a good roadmap. Good luck.

Nullsec mining safe, guess you’ve never seen a Kikimora fleet. Besides you shouldnt be able to earn good isk in HS, thats the point its too safe, low risk low reward

sorry i meant the guy you was replying too, who was quoting something a dev said on a podcast

ohh i saw…

Even Olmecca the most staunch anti nullsec member of the CSM has said the null members of CSM are not devoted to improving nullsec but devoted to improving the game.

The thought that nullsec CSM members only want to improve it for their selves needs to die because it has never been true. Nullsec CSM were one of the strongest opponents of the original Rorqual changes that got us where we are today, but are constantly blamed for the creation.

Im going to give this the Not quite sure if serious? Fry squint. I mean you are correct but people not taking fights because they don’t out number people at least 3 to 1, fleets standing down because the out of game widget says we don’t have the dps and/or logi to win this fight guys happen.

People are hugely risk averse and have been getting more so as time goes on. Mineral shortages are not going to change that, they will if anything make it worse.

I’m going to defer to your experience here, but it’s still the same problem for CCP to solve (because as you point out players are not going to be stupid with their assets).

CCP have to get people to use these things in order to get them blown up otherwise it won’t matter how much they close the mineral faucets. The large bloc’s will remain the large bloc’s because they still have their supers.

The nuclear option is always “delete supercaps I suppose”.
