EVE Online Ecosystem Outlook

Exactly my thought. Mining and ratting in null sec and low sec with be no more profitable than they are in high sec, so there is no bonus to doing it there. The null sec and low sec corps may as well mine and rat in high sec. No risk, all the rewards.

We mine and rat in big ships because of the risk and the reward, the big ships have to pay for themselves and what we want to do beyond that.

How many Orca fleets from null sec have to go to high sec and strip mine every resource from under neath the high sec miners before Orca fleets get nerfed because of high sec whining.

I am not mentioning wormhole space as I am unfamiliar with the mechanics exactly, so to comment would be wrong, but the way I would see it is, for an analogy
High sec - mining in up to exhumers
Low sec - mining in up to exhumers with Orca fleet support (Orca mining)
Null sec/Wormholes - mining in up to exhumers with Rorqual fleet support (Rorqual mining)

The reason we are not seeing the mining fleets in null sec is that the cyno was removed from the Rorqual, so a force recon has to be on grid, instead of a barge. This reduced the mining capabilities and forced a lot of skill injector purchases.

I will get shot down for this, however, I would prefer to see a lower yield (10-15%) on the excavators, the cyno back on the Rorqual and therefore if you have multiple accounts, others can be used to fleet mine, rather than providing fleet jump support. This way you have your mining fleet, and don’t lose the use of the Rorqual as a solo ship.

You may want to consider this information out of date as we have new information in the form of this devblog.

We both got mixed up there so all good.

Try to move 5B worth of tritanium from null to HS.

Because I can still make billions mining in high sec. I mined 1 million m3 in a conduit yesterday and there was still plenty of ore left.

OK well you don’t base your opinions in reality so not much can be helped there. Guess no matter what happens NULLSEC == BAD and you can’t be convinced otherwise.

How do you know that?
What do you mean by “resources”?
Ore? Assets? Ships?

Why is the bar that shows healthy left of center? seems to me the idea is to reduce players ability to use ISK for Plex.

At the moment that means Basic Minerals, all their changes so far have been extremely specific to basic minerals (they even passed up an opportunity to change moon goo). Whether they extend that to other resources like salvage, moon good, etc. we’ll have to see, but for now we know for sure they’re targeting basic minerals.

This devblog was not only about minerals though. It was actually the opposite of extremely specific in this regard.

How do you know this? Where are you getting these facts?

“Income” of basic minerals? Where are you getting this?

:+1: Keep up the good work!

triglavians have been a massive balance downgrade though

How so? Once you know how to deal with them, they are a non-issue…

Every change which they’ve labeled with Resource Distribution has singularly affected Minerals. The initial nullsec anom reductions, the second significantly stronger round of reductions, and finally the moon changes. All of them were singularly focused on the scarcity of Basic Minerals.

I was talking about the Resource Distribution section.

I did a Ctrl+F on the page and the word “Mineral” does not appear in the entire blog.

So where are you coming up with this?
Are you just making shitup?

higher income

And the healthy line is 15AU behind that marker, does this mean we will be doing more for less?

You are being a bit too naive.

Whilst the CSM may not deliberately make everything about them and their game, they have shown bad judgment/blindness when it comes to the game outside of null.

The whole ‘we’ve made the game too safe and rewarding over the past few years’ hasn’t been the message of the CSM until only recently, and that might only be thanks to Olmeca.

People on the forums have been screaming at CCP about risk/reward problems and wallets getting too fat for ■■■■■■■ ages. ■■■■■■■…years! This was a problem before the Rorqual changes.

But i honestly don’t remember the CSM trying to promote conflict outside of null sec. Or risk/reward balance at all…if anything they have sort to lower the risks of gameplay outside of null.

The initial round of reductions didn’t appear in the patch notes, but after that we have the major reductions:

And from there we have the Moon Changes:

I don’t just mine in conduits. I also wipe out entire belts and ice anoms, so yes, you can still make billions in high sec. No, you won’t be able to do it in a single day like in null, but it’s still pretty good ISK for high sec.

Ok, that’s nice dear. We’ve read those already. And we’re not talking about those updates.

We’re talking about THIS dev blog.
