Okay, so I ran what you said by my community and most say no (including one guy who says he’s in 4 different in game channels and 2 discords related to the invasions, and no one has yet seen a mothership). Plus, this spreadsheet says only phases 1 and 2 have been observed so far, and CCP says here that the invasion will begin with roaming fleets and escalate over the coming weeks and months. Also, I was unable to find anything current via google. Like, I was able to find this, but it’s from a month ago, so it’s probably from the test server.
All that being said, one guy said he saw in a chat channel people saying something along the lines of “Wolf Pheonix and crew killed the mothership and despawned the invasion.”
So, I want to make some suggestions to CCP, but I need to know what’s true or not. Do you have, or can you get video, screen shots, details, or a write up by a credible source? And what details can you share right now.
How was the mom found?
What is her name (presumably, it’s the World Akr) and/or the name of the site (which could help me try to google this)?
What phase does she spawn in?
What is required to make her spawn?
How is she found (scanning or beacons)?
What was the fleet comp that killed her?
What are here defensive and offensive capabilities (and is she guarded, and by what)?
Do you have any other details that you find relevant?
Was a very good summary and I think you for it.
I did not at all understand were he was coming from.
I was however not speaking really to my own opinion.
CCP has frequently stated over the years that they intend and want to encourage new players to move from high sec into null.
It would then stand to reason they would develop new content with that in mind.
I tend to agree Null runs on the boring side and prefer J-space myself.
What I do like about invasions is they are encouraging high sec players to fleet up and engage in a group activity. This is a good thing.
So… 1 incursion constellation at the same time… and no triglavian stuff to run for hours on end. And Triglavians didn’t even spawn any sites yet…
Next time maybe not schedule a patch like this before the Ascenscion day weekend, too?
Yep this invasion crap really sucks and looks like just another way for CCP to side with the psychos and destroy afk mining fleets in HS. When will people realise that there are many different styles of game play and EVE should accommodate all styles in order to attract more players.
I lost a lot of expensive ships for nothing this morning. Does this excite me to ‘fleet up’ or join war fleets? NO IT MOST CERTAINLY DOES NOT. There are so many of us on here that simply cannot stay at the keyboard or commit long periods of time to fighting battles where it requires concentration for all the time you are playing!
I’ll just not replace the ships and stay in the station trading from now on. Oh yes and I will now cancel my other 2 paid Omega accounts.
Then of course these ‘upgrades’ are purely designed for the inpatient players who consistently buy upgrades to ‘get it now’ Sigh!
Yip i believe he was, afk mining and not keeping eye on the invasion spawns is just stupid.
Hate to say it, but it was his own fault, no one elses CCP made sure players had the option for agency window to open in login to check for things like that.
I wonder if he would have been more pissed if code or goon did the same thing to his afk mining fleet?
I really hope CCP actually answers a lot of these questions and responds to the feedback in this thread! I know they’re probably taking their time to come up with a solution or PR statement, but the feedback has been mostly negative and CCP has been silent for nearly a week. Really hope a dev post comes soon.
No I was mining in a non-invasion system and the invasion fleet showed up while my fleet were mining and destroyed them. As in the system became an invasion system while I was mining and afk for a short time and no concord to protect it in a 0.9 system as there was when gankers showed up.
Hey ho stuff happens. I’ll just wait until the invasion goes away or learn to be more careful from now on.
Do you have proof of this? Perhaps a lossmail or something on ZKB to show? Because this is either a flat out lie or an interesting bug that CCP needs to address as soon as possible.
Because according to CCP, in an Invasion system, Concord will still respond to Player vs Player aggression in a 0.9 system. Concord will not response to Triglavian vs Player aggression.
When i double click my market posts the ‘browse’ tree starts expanding showing me every item im updating the price for, which is quite annoying.
I understand that having the quickbar as the active panel stops this behavior but I’m sure to keep forgetting to make the quickbar the active panel while updating my market orders and so im going to keep finding my browse panel tree expanded from time to time…FOREVER!
If I were attacking New Eden? I would hit hisec first. If I were retaliating against people hitting the abyss day after day? I would hit them where most came from. Concord is powerful against capsuleers . . . but the trigs would hand them their heads on a platter.
Null is organized and has the super cap umbrella to consider.
No, it makes sense to start a beachhead where the enemy purposefully has made rules to weaken itself.
