You misunderstand - I mean - why do you feel you should have advance notice and be immune to surprises in Eve ?

They tweaked it and now thereā€™s some of the largest null blocs in the game that are really quite unhappy. Quote from one CEO ā€œdear valued customer, surprise we shat in your lap!ā€. Iā€™ve never seen this particular keepstar needing repairs, so thatā€™s a first, but just a shame it was bots not players to cause it.

Spot on with your assessment - good concept, poor execution - my thoughts exactly.

If CCP can replicate the bot code that was used to attack the Keepstar with into NPC AI Code, more power to them.

You know what a warp disruptor is?

Clearly, your doing it wrong.

Heā€™s talking about when a NPC is trying to warp out it becomes untargetable.
This causes a stuck in one of the conduits, where one of the NPC stuck in between stuff while trying to get into warp. Since you canā€™t target it, you can do nothing about it. This is not about warp disrupting that npc cause you canā€™t target it in the first place.

it can not be real that the rats ignore the damage cap.
bad enough that the NPCS after all that time get most of the
Structure received income, and the owner
only a small percentage for indu jobs.
And now you are raising the risk

I donā€™t understand this. What the change to neutral logi has done, and others complained about at the time, is the exact opposite. The thief can still be shot by everybody like before, but unlike what happened before, he cannot get any remote assistance now. That makes thieving and suspect baiting in general harder, not easierā€¦

If you shoot a thief, you will get limited engagement timer. Since you have limited engagement timer, the logistics pilots canā€™t RR you anymore. In order for them to RR you, they have to attack the same person as well.

So, now imagine a situation. Youā€™re doing the World ARK with +100 ships. A thief comes in. You shoot it. NPCā€™s switch to you. Youā€™re dead within few seconds.

make everybody shoot the suspect ?

Or better have dedicated people shooting at suspects ?

Oh, we manage it fine - the one who shoots\kills suspect warps out. Variant B: sentry drones on assignment leads to everyone get the automatic limited engagement timer with the thief.

So letā€™s them attack the suspect as well then, no? Looks like youā€™re aware of the solution to the problem and even stating it in the same post youā€™re stating the problem, which makes this look like a non-issue to meā€¦ Or am I misunderstanding something here?

Simply put, it cant warp off if you point it.

I believe its only repping war targets that falls under, i havent tested it but think its still possible to provide remote assistance to a suspect if its not a wartarget.
