Eve Online requires loot tables to align with the current efforts on the game

Not everywhere does it show such.

Ie those lists are heavily guarded!

It’s a mystery…

As they should be. Players have put in the effort to find out these loot tables and percentages over the course of 21 years. Why should new players be afforded such information when they’ve put in zero effort?

There is a larger picture here and reason why I had originally labeled micro-transactions in the title.

We want it now, we don’t need to put in the effort as previous pilots as we can just pay for such.

At that point, just start selling faction and officer modules in the NES store. That’s pretty much what you are asking for.

Noway.

Completely different than knowing what the NPC might drop if a new Capsuleer decides to purchase a skinner pack then decides to start flying their favourite ship out while doing some agent mission. (Content, to feel like perhaps money worth spent)

We already can purchase Plex convert to isk and then buy the modules or fittings on the regional market as that is the current model.

Yes, but prices wildly vary for these items on the player market. CCP could sell those items directly on the NES store for a set price, or even offer the occasional discount. That alone would place many, many nullsec bot farms out of business, as no one would buy their stuff anymore since players could just get it directly from the NES store for a set price.

The prices should be based on the percentage of known drops on what NPC ship.

On another note which is also on current topic regarding the Zarak Event

What incentive is there to even go?

If a pilot clicks on an asteroid they will be shown what does that contain.

Why can’t NPC’s show what they might drop at what percentage chance?

Because each NPC has a chance to drop upwards of a hundred different types of modules, ammo, drones, or other items. Having an exhaustive list for every NPC would be, well, exhaustive…

Exactly so how about making a list that doesn’t take months or years of work?

Instead we seem to go in circles with no actual outcome.

Will let this thread age to see if new eyes can understand the importance of delivering information.

Fresh look at the issue which feels like some large splinter in my mind with us comes to New Capsuleers that enter New Eden for the value of being a pve pilot.

There will always be a list for the new Eden Ganker that is easily obtainable after a cargo/Ship scan is conducted.

Why can’t there also be a list that could be obtainable if we were to scan an NPC ship?

You enter a static combat site or a mission. There are 50+ NPC ships. You going to bother scanning each and every one before you kill it?

No, the Op asking for this intel before starting the mission.

/before a highsec ganker decides to gank at the gate, they first can see what’s inside!

With exceptions. They can’t see inside of a blockade runner, or any ship that has that new cargo expander fitted that can’t be scanned.

Then that would fall into the unknown, therefore some NPC types should also fall out into the unknown yet currently everyone of them is unknown to a certain extent.

This is the grit that needs to be addressed.

/ we know what NPC drops soldier tags. That is a good start.

Let’s now look at what other NPC’s that could become known and perhaps follow a high standard.

Simple. Start up a new section on the Wiki for NPC loot drops and start adding to it…

Again it would also be the responsibility of a CSM member to take responsibility.

Not really. Anyone can edit or add to the Wiki. If every player contributed, the lists would get fleshed out pretty quick.

Off topic as we know what can happen if we allow just anyone to update.

We know in the past that there had been incidents of corruption being added to lore in n the wiki site!

A list still requires a formal approval
