I liked Aiko’s old portrait better, to be honest.
For one, the contrast between character (hair mostly) and background was much better. At first glance you cannot tell where her hair stops and background begins in her new portrait. It’s a flaw I also had in my own previous portrait, get some contrast!
Secondly, her old portrait is a much more comfortable natural pose, unlike the new one which feels kind of forced.
Third, I think it’s great that she managed to make her portrait an icon of high sec ganking that everyone recognises by using it as logo for alliances. It’s a shame that the original portrait at the basis of those logos is no more the same.
The background colour also used to nicely come back in her eye shadow, which was a nice cohesive effect that is now lost.
Lastly, no idea if it was intentional or not, but the low camera angle of the old portrait made miners literally look up to her.
I was a bit disappointed to see that portrait change.

I like the expression on her face. It’s really difficult to get “expression” on a character’s face, no matter what expression you’re going for. I see many characters that opt for the “no thought whatsoever” expression. 
So, I appreciate yours.

Being precise in the character creator is complicated.
It’s only complicated because you a Metal Head
