Ok… I see many here are very frustrated with the event, and honestly I agree with everyone in a lot of specifics here, but let’s try to keep it civil and give a proper feedback to CCP regarding issues that can be changed right now to make this event a more enjoyable endeavor. At least I will try it right now.
*The sites despawn as soon as you leave them once you finish it, that is a issue if you want to mine the site!
Unless you have someone sitting there for you to leave and come back with a mining ship, once you go back to your save spot in the site, you will only find the wrecks, with all the ore now gone, plz change this particular time thing.
The third option: you could look for a site that is being taken care of by other people, and hope that the still present rats will prefer them and not attack you.
and the only reason to mine it is because you need the tricarbs for everything, not even enough to make reasonable income for someone that would sell to others
ore reprocessing ratio is ofc problem but there is another one - site despawn time… I clear site with BS, dock up, change ship to mining barrage, warp to marked location and… I see only some wrecks and my MTU.
if you cant get materials you cant make accelerators, so this blueprint rewards from event point grind are useless so 20 and 600 point reward is useless. Also skins are meh…
Event tickets rewards: I try 4 times only because I had some Chromodynamic Tricarboxyls from last event. So I pay 52kk and what i get ?

CCP seriously smt that cost 20000 isk is in prize pool when you must pay event ticked and 18kk.
It is pure hazard mode and I don`t like it.
I don`t like anything in this event: design, rewards, new items/mechanics.
Everyone knows the REAL currency in Eve is Time… This event is a giant waste of it! I used to enjoy the events but not any more.
Too much time required for this event with such a small reward makes it not worth doing. I like the idea of combat+mining built into the event but it should be rewarding to do the sites, not just a constant grind for little to no return.
The isk cost to turn in the tickets is WAY too high and the refine rate of the ore to get the minerals required is a joke!
The respawn/despawn time for these sites must be changed. And the amount of ore on each site should be raised. Requiring a player to run/mine no less than 10+ sites just to be able to make one booster is unacceptable
There needs to be some type of instant reward for completing a site, either a skin or some boosters, something to give players a reward for their time at each stage and a greater reward if they turn in the tickets in VIP sites
Based on your lack of response CCP, I’m guessing you either don’t care about the concerns from the player base or just just don’t give a F***. Perhaps this is just an example of what is to come from this new partnership with Pearl Abyss. I’m done with this event and all future events if this is what YOU (CCP) think the players want.
There is everything harder or more annoying in this event than in previous ones:
Bugged BS annoyed a lot of people.
Sites are harder in combat by DPS, you also get carrier spawn in high sec. FFS. All those alphas dead and annoyed.
Mine asteroids in a site, but get not enough of the key items from them to complete the gambling part, have to mine 2 and a half. With Orca preferably because everything else have stupidly weak DPS vs rats or not enough tank. Miners annoyed.
Gambling that makes you fork out 13M for a chance of a garbage loot. Yep, fortunately not taking chances for it because of not enough key items that you had to mine. Annoyed gamblers.
Bugged tasks, norm, also you still have to click them to claim reward, still annoyed.
Not enough sites overall, farmers annoyed.
CCP makes everything worse and worse and you still take part in events? You must like being annoyed!
Worst event since I resubbed. 2 refined units per 1000 unrefined (effectively 1) is just insane. Chromo prices consequently inflated to the point you’re paying 25 mil per shot at the lottery.
This event is pretty bad. Poor design. Xmas event was okay (newbros could do it) and have a variety of things you could do. Halloween event was really good and the one before that had some light hacking.
I think the worst part is having to insert isk/chromos for a RNG roll that is probably worthless. CCP should completely rewrite the reward system so you have the option of auto-clicking ‘claim reward’, and have different category challenges so if you don’t want to mine you can still finish the event with just shooting ships or even some hacking isn’t too bad. I’m okay with buying chromo’s off the market instead of being forced to mine for them to finish the event.
Carrier spawns in VIP sites, but be careful with normal sites too. But averall I dont know why would you even do it, to claim that gambling ticket and use it? You need items and 13 M of isk and you get less than you put into because its rather miserable loot and most often then not, not worth 13M and time. I made 3 sites yesterday, nearly lost Stratios to carrier in VIP site (fortunately I warped out very fast upon noticing what damage it deals, left site with 3% hull), and Orca was badly damaged in normal sites, together with drones because rats are rather hard and target drones. Did not even kill BS because trying to save my drones all the time. Mined some ore and left, Its the worst event I had ever run in this game.
The thing that most irritates me is being forced to mine to complete event and this random lootbox stuff. Reward system needs categories so you can only do 1 category if you wish to complete the event. Challenge categories:
PvP
PvE
Hacking
Mining
Industry (building accelerators)
I enjoyed the content! I even had to refit a ship I was using to actually tank the damage. My drones are being massacred, but pve and drones is another subject I wont go into.
The huge problem is the god damn gambling lootboxes. Pay isk, mine ore, refine ore, collect salvage just so that after all of that I can get an actual piece of garbage!?

I thought events were supposed to be an enjoyable way to get people back into the game and back out there flying? Well the actual shooting of the ships seems cool enough but the rewards are 100% going to put people off wasting time even doing it.
Ccp once made an event called Crimson Harvest. Everyone I know liked it and general feedback was positive.
Then ccp started experimenting. MOST of those event experiments have failed in the same way that most post-2009 pve attempts have. And yet ccp can’t stop shooting itself in the foot. Ccp knows what works (Crimson Harvest), but refuses to use it as a template for other events.
Why not just make the stuff that works most of the time and save the experiments for special occasions? No one is saying “don’t innovate ever”, but damn, this event situation you keep screwing up is crazy.
