If u mined ore from previous events then having the minerals for the event would be no issue, something worth stockpiling on,
I can clear the normal site in a porpoise without losing any drones. My only problem is that there is not enough ore in the site, only couple of rocks 5-7k m3.
Make a separate mining site like in the crimson harvest, that was best event so far I’ve played thru
Crimson Harvest was great. Had fun with that one. Even the xmas one was okay.

Is the respawn times on these new event sites non existent in null sec though ? popped a few, its been a day now, not a single site has respawned, ended up traveling in a scout roughly 20 jumps before actually finding a new site to do, ???

Ah so only VIP (ls/null) sites have carrier sites ? I can handle normal sites quite well in rattlesnake (I dodge yesterday bug with BS rat dps) but this ticked gambling just destroy my will to farm this event.
We can set challenge: what is your worst roll from this even lootbox ?
My bet is: 2nd Tier Overseer’s Personal Effects (20000 isk)

The first event had a drop rate of 50%, lets not go back to that
@CCP_Falcon The voices are mostly negative but I hope you read this one message and get the positive chunk. It is my first gala event since my return and I like the little nod to serpentis and angels also the sneaky citadel skins testing a bit your sneaking in. I like the agency way of doing things and that you listened and put some jobs on a cool down timer.
Only issue is the reprocessing rate being so extreme and that it feels that it is pandering to the supercaps ratting due to the big carrier spawn site and also being nongated. I would not mind if the gate allows dreads which can still alienate a big chunk but at least it is not as easy to overcompensate.

Or just use an event like Crimson Harvest as a baseline and keep building on what people like. It’s not hard

Can’t belive that no official response yet…at least to say that this was intended, or yes dear players…this event is a time consuming, no spawn rate, ship losing, gambling isk sink…
50 jumps+ and 1 vip spawn…that takes 30-45 minutes to finish in a carrier, witch drops…wait for it…1 milion worth of loot…gambling 4 vip lootboxes (100mil+100mil+ 4 tickets) …surprizeee 2 freaking boosters and some meta medium smartbombs…worth…4 mil …

Positives:
- Having a range of challenging (minus the BS bug at the start) content across space makes completing the site at least some what interesting. The Permafrost event was tuned way down and made it less interesting.
Negatives:
- Rarity of the sites and having them de-spawn makes engaging with the content difficult and not in a fun and interesting way. Even if I found a site or two that I could actually engage with it was often already being done so completing my challenges became more of a grind as there was less availability of rats/objectives.
- The event is far too short, It makes it disheartening to see that in an average game session you can maybe do a few challenges if your lucky there just is not trajectory that I can see an average or even a very active player completing the full 1000 points.
- The rewards are subjective if you like them or not, the skins will seem rewarding if you like the ships/skins. The boosters seem like a big driver for the event, but even getting the blueprints doesn’t feel rewarding because of the next issue.
- Maybe the biggest issue with this event is the acquisition of the event specific ore/minerals (no way I can spell it correctly off the top of my head). Even in the permafrost event getting the ore felt like a bit of a slog to get any useable amount. With permafrost though the access to the ore was at least more available. This event the rate of getting the material just seems sadistic, a tiny amount of ore on top of the rarity of the (standard) sites is 100% of the reason I am okay passing on this event. It’s more of a deterrent than anything else.

Can’t even grind Points for stupid Skins…
Btw the last Site done in low didnt give ANY loot no ticket no fireworks just metal scraps

yes: i’ve stacked all the chromo i can since a month (buy 200k) and sell them now fo… no it’s indecent!

meanwhile, i run a lot of these sites and got fun going here and there, doing stuff on side
I have also been looking for these mythical sites for the event. …so far i have found a whole herd of Unicorns , had lunch with Bigfoot . Figured this afternoon i might take a trip to Asgard but sadly im told it is no more. All this would be eclipsed by jus 1 holy grail a gala site.
