Yo see even Hillmar on last event in Vegas admit that Eve Online have special audience and over the average players. After that you came here with stories like: “Storks bring the kids and leave them in the cabbage …”

Look… a gift, as stated before, means one side receives something without cost or expectations.
What CCP has created is a process where you have to actively work to acquire materials (ticket and ore) AND spend money earned from OUTSIDE the event to create a CHANCE to obtain items of value. You are not buying a known object of a known (or at least accepted) value like buying something off the market or from another player, you are instead GAMBLING with earned assets from outside the event…assets that can be purchased with REAL LIFE money through buying plex and exchanging to isk in game.
This has become your new Rubicon and rest assured that those people who are your customers are not ignorant barbarians. Whether it was a decision by CCP alone or PA forced your hand, what was done completely goes against what the last 15 years of what EVE has stood for and the reputation it earned. If this is what EVE will become in the future, you should start polishing up your resumes. It may work in Korea, but it’s not going to for the rest of the people playing EVE.
Don’t abandon either your past principals or the majority of your current customers. Thank you.
If you didn’t expect that outcome, somethings is very wrong in your team or CCP as a whole. The showed disconnect to the EvE player base and mechanics couldn’t be bigger.
a) The event is non-functional because it simply does not work, due to the bad balance leading to ISK-negative outcome for participants
b) The event is a PR disaster because of a) and the gambling for loot boxes
How can this have slipped through?
Well, it appears that CCP is doing something (I hope). Last hour no sites spawned in an island of 4-5 systems where I watched this all circus. This may happen if they are redoing the whole thing - i.e., they stopped the spawns and would reloead the whole thing under new rules.
It was a reddit post that someone put about the refine rate, and one of the CCP members said “unlike the BS Fire rate, this 0 Was intentional” about the ammount it takes to refine

Not a fat lot to be honest. Were what, 5 days into event? and we’ve had one response on this page during the whole event? And even then that response was a very brief response that didn’t actually address any of the issues. If they wanna make it anymore clear that they don’t care what were saying or complaining about, they may aswell make a Dev post.
I’ve been following this thread closely, and was reluctant to add my voice to the discussion. However, @Leah_Crowleymass’s post perfectly reflects my own state of mind, and if CCP is to address any of the concerns raised in this thread, I hope it will do so based on your feedback. It is pertinent and well argued, constructive, and truly conveys the community’s emerging concern over a perceived shift, not simply in gameplay mechanics - experimentation is not a bad thing per se - but most importantly in the game’s philosophy and spirit.

So how do you get the upgraded accelerators? I see that if you 600 points into the even you’ll receive a bpc for standard accelerators but what about the advanced and extended ones? Are those found in the gambling boxes?

You didn’t read the bio. Only if you’d followed the instructions in the bio you would 've gotten more in value than the 20 mil it costs to turn in a ticket.
So i frekken hate this Event. But i like eve. So i put every ticket i get on the Market 50% below median. So 7bisk people can gamble them making them buy more plex which i can then buy with isk on market at a lower rate.
Does this make me a hypocrite…? Perhaps, but it puts Eve on a strange path.

We want an official response. We have paid for this enough already. The joke isn’t funny!
We want to hear from CCP that PA hasn’t begun to gradually turn Eve into a loot box casino.
We want to hear that CCP is listening to us.
We want to know why this mistake was made and what is being done about it.
Right now I can literally buy everything I could possibly want from this game with USD without having to play 20 minutes to obtain it. That is the definition of P2W. And the argument “That doesn’t make you good.” is stupid. P2W never makes the wallet warrior “good”. But it wrecks economies and destroys the game for real players.
We want to know that PA isn’t going to BDO the best MMO ever made!
