In my case I petitioned on the 19th and got a reply on the 21st. I didn’t feel the need to chase as I know from bitter experience how long these things often take to reply.
So no, I didn’t see any need to search further.

Join the celebrations for Eve Online 16s Anniversary with the 16 DAY login event! Get free gifts for loggin in on 16 different DAYS between 2 and 20 May, and they dont even need to be consecutive,
that was what i did i logged into the game once a day some times in the moring some days on the evening, depending on my Job… and there was no Mention About Servertime!
if my calender tells me ist annother day ist a nother day… if my Clock tells me ist annother day ist annother day… if the sun goes up and goes down ist annother day…
but if the game dont tell me that ist Eve Days Serverdays, u do it wrong…

Cool. Gehirnbrand Jack should.
The first time you logged in, and it didnt give you the reward, was the game telling you that your day is not the same.
So yes. The game told you.
And gave you 2 extra days for you to fix your misunderstanding.
Very poor indeed.
I was unable to log on for a few days because of real life work commitments, and this resulted in me missing the final 2 days rewards.
I openned a ticket asking for clarification, but only received a mass response to the legion of players raising the same complaint.
A mass reply on your part to am issue raised by a multitude of players, suggests that you have caused this large issue yourselves and that a large portion of your paying customers feel aggrieved.
Your customers pay a lot to play your game with Omega accounts, and a blind application of your made up in game rules shows nothing but distain for the very players that keep your whole business running.
It would have cost absolutely nothing at all for you to show good faith and offer all your customers who had fully paid up omega accounts for the duration of the event, all the rewards that they missed after being physically unable to log on during the event.
Only making these missing rewards availiable after the event officially ended, would have been “punishment” enough, but instead you chose to punish your long terms paying customers for having lives outside of your imaginary game.
Both my accounts have now been cancelled as a direct result of this action, and it was not because of the loss of the rewards, but your cookie cutter mass dismissal of the issue.
the game was telling me Nothing, NOTHING i just woundered why i culdnt Claim on some days and on some not, but was not the Problem cuz u got the Claim backwards… the real Problem i saw way to late, that the remaining days were Shorter then then u Need for the game… that was 4 Days bevore the Aniversary Ends… and the support decided not to answer up to the end of the Event…
what makes me totaly Angry is i payed a full year Omega, and what did i get a asskick and endless lamentations, godwill…? only Thing i see is grief, and greed! and how to Strip peoples Money and then run away with words meaning Nothing…
they poped the Champanger Flasks on every Omega wich was buyed for that Event, but on the other Hand they kick ass… if someting goes wrong they let the People getting frustrated…. and Angry by doing NOTHING
Until May 20th means May 20th. Before downtime on the 20th is still the 19th.
Players say the same thing when they misunderstand a game mechanic that leads them to lose ships and modules, too. And yet CCP doesnt reimburse, because game mechanics are equal for everyone, and everyone has equal opportunity and equal rights.
So if I was subbed, but was in the hospital for an entire month and unable to log in at all, you think i should be allowed to get all the gifts?
If my internet dies, and I lose a ship, I suppose I should get reimbursed for that too?
If you truly are a long time player, surely you understand the difference between the responsibility of CCP to reimburse you for your own personal problems, and CCP to reimburse you for what is actually CCPs fault, like the server being down for an entire 2 days during the event.
If the server was down, and no one could log in, that’s not our fault. Its CCPs fault, and their responsibility.
If I forget to pay my internet bills, or have to leave for work, that’s on me. It’s my private, personal problem, and not CCPs. It’s not their responsibility for them to reimburse me for my time away, because I was busy at work, and forget to update my skill queue.
So how was it CCPs fault that you had work obligations that prevented you from playing? How should they have responded? Did you want a hand written personal mail from Hilmar himself?
My original account signed up in March 2014 so I’ve been around a long time and this is the first time one of these giveaways has ever been so tight on dates and the first one I’ve ever missed to fulfil.
The shortness of the dates is even admitted to in the FU email:
“That being said, I understand that this time-frame may have been too short for some of our players, and I hope that we can further improve our events in the future. We would appreciate your feedback regarding this”
Which is why I’m posting in this thread. Yes, it was too short for such a major event and it’s clear that a lot of people feel upset about it. Are we likely to see any official replies here?
Bearing in mind this comment, I doubt this thread will do any good whatsoever.
We can regretfully not make any exceptions to these rules, and can as such unfortunately not assist you in this case.
Since you were wondering, the game did tell you.
If the game didnt tell you anything, you wouldnt have been wondering in the first place.
I thought you said you only got 13 out of the 16 days?
So in your country, the 20th was actually the 23rd?
u can mock others, but i take this as kick ass, sorry i rather turn my back on this game entirely, Special for comments like urs… the only Thing i reget is i put Money in it to read that what ur wagging into my face…
Downtime on may 20th is May 20th, 11:00 am UTC.
When your flight is scheduled to depart at 11 am, on June 20th, are you going to show up at the airport on the 19th?
If your dentist appointment is on the 20th of August, at 11 am, do you show up on the 19th of August?
This is your opinion. There were people who made it just fine.
People who missed it, will always say it’s too short. And that’s the point. For someone who was in a hospital for a month, even a 30 day event for 16 gifts is too short.
Funny thing is, where were you when the event first came out? Why werent there a lot of people complaining before, or even when the event first started, that the event was too short?
Oh, right. Its only after it’s over, only after you failed to get the gifts, do you complain.
if the game runs do u get a popup with the devblock?
well i take the game as it speaks to me, i absolutly dont like it to study Forums in foreign languages for snipets of info… wich may forgotten in the official popups…
Interestingly Support told me that nothing could be done during the event, but to submit another a ticket after the event…
Sorry CCP, you might be technically correct in the way you have administered the anniversary, but customer relations wise it stinks.
funny Thing if someone is in the Hospital the game still grabs his online time… if ur online or not, not nice comment u do here to Argument like that… but it shows how u tick…
oh, Right, there is allways an asshole wich try to make fun over People wich suffer…
Yeah, I’m not mocking you.
I’m just not going to be as entitled as you are, for free gifts. Gifts.
You lost nothing.
Unless, of course, you were subbing just for the gifts.
Ita in the launcher, so yes.
I missed it by one day. When I saw the email and read the part which says:
I upgraded straight away.
Why can’t you accept that it was badly worded? I’ve never had a complaint at CCP about this sort of thing before because it’s always been very clear.
This one wasn’t. You only have to read through this thread to see how many people misinterpreted the bad communications from CCP.
This would never have happened in the days of Oveur, he actually cared.
Yes.
It’s not the company’s responsibility to reimburse you for the time you couldnt play based on your personal problems or prior commitments.
Again, not making fun of anything. Do you see me laughing?
I was trying to do a step-by-step explanation to help you understand that the game was telling you one thing. You just didnt care enough to investigate.
