This is absolutely the worst advice to give.
@Fitz_Blitz, Keep your account, character and assets intact. Take a break if needed and continue to keep watch on the game for news and expansions.
I also suggest that you keep your account subbed and continue skill training, even if you don’t log into the game for extended periods. That way when you decide to jump back into the game your character will be ready.

You are advocating that he/she makes an each way bet as to whether they will or will not “stay away”. I’m advocating instead that it is better to make a decision, one way or the other, and then stick with it.
In reality, if they find that they can’t ….
… then they will in fact have already made their decision. QED.
The only reason for doing a bunch of multiple quotes is to dissect the context of the original statement in an attempt to find something to nitpick about.

No. It does have the benefit of making any nitpicking transparent but otherwise it is simply, 1) to provide evidence as to what is being replied to, and also, 2) to maintain context. (Which is also nitpicking on my part; go figure.)

That’s a sign you needed a break anyway. But I’ll agree with DMC and say you should just keep your toon training and wait until you’re ready to play again to spend more than a minute or two here and there on EVE. Burnout is real, yo.

Well. I would support this point of view actually.
Selecting group of players by their RL conditions and giving them additional in-game benefits does not look like deal for the community.

Still mad at CCP and I’m resisting the pull this game has on me.

This game has been such huge part of my life for so long so I still log in out of habit. I still check zKillboard and watch twitch of the game.
Getting this 1mil sp gift from CCP would have been real nice. What can CCP come up with to lure people into the game after this fiasco? I was on a brake from the game when my friend contacted me to tell me about this event. I took it as a gesture from CCP to welcome me back. Instead it was just a big F U.
None of my friends got the last price and none of them care. I guess I’m the drama queen of the bunch.
Speaking of Anniversaries. anyone remember the 10th anniversary? they even put out an awesome book, gift box, and a physical ship model to celebrate it.
They Also provided MYSTERY CODES to those that bought it as an award with promises they would be used for years to come to give buyers gifts that no one else would get.
Well Some of us are STILL waiting on a mystery code prize. for like 5 years now… Don’t think we will ever forget this CCP.

Actually, a year or two ago they gave us (via our redeem queue) free SWAT skins for all the CONCORD ships (Pacifier, Enforcer, Marshal, and IIRC even the Monitor brick-tank no-shoot FC cruiser, too).
There were other things the code was good for prior to that, but most of them were way back at the 10th anniversary, yes.
I still haven’t subbed. Am I winning?
