[EVENT] Operation Starfall - Kahah

//Video Feed Online

“Many of you make me just as sick as the Khanids have done. You float in your pod goop as if it were an untouchable throne and forget about what matters here; the lives of millions, hear me again, millions, have been taken by these Khanid overlords! And you all debate whether a freighter with a large armed contingent of Ushra’Khan will fail?”

She pauses, her expression angered as she throws back a double measure of some dark brown liquor,

“All you with doubts underestimate the might of the Khan and the will of the people! Call yourselves supporters all you will, but I see no action or support on many of your parts. The Khanid will be made to regret this and the slaves yet trying to survive in Kahah will be saved and find freedom! Stand up Matari, we will blast our way through anything they throw at us and return victorious! Death to Amarr, Unity or death!”

She seems to slam the screen’s button deactivating the feed.

Suddenly anti air defenses, 2 empires navies (khanid and Amarr) and numerous outspoken capsuleers groups don’t exist. Why haven’t we simply invaded Amarr prime and taken our people back? Are they not teaching about gun emplacements and fleet warfare anymore in the RMS? What about this has the remotest chance of success aside from martyrdom? Small groups work because of covert action, it’s a foundation of our people’s military doctrine. When did we start trying to mimic the idiotic (in the sense it spits on where our strengths lie) doctrines of forces when we trounced them in the past?

If this were YC109 that might be slightly threatening.

You cannot argue with idiots, Arrendis. This one is just going to have to learn the hard way.

I’d rather attempt the impossible and say we tried to save lives rather than watching this unfold on your screens doing nothing but shaking your heads. By simple comparison; they have everything to lose, we have nothing.

I stand with those in Kahah, you sit and watch.

Unity or death.

More like, while you prepare to pose for the camera drones, others are already working.

I’m doing what I do everyday, camera drones or not. Please, patronize me with accuracy if you must lower yourself to such petty comments.

Suicide missions have everything to lose if there’s no chance of success, that’s called Martyrdom. Our freedom wasn’t won on Martyrdom it was won on our cunning. You are sending people to die without any hope of success. The only message to be sent here is alumni donations to the RMS should be cut since they are teaching our kin to ignore common sense logic and make rash decisions that will only hurt our position.

I wish I could support this but it’s bordering on the lunacy of our wholesale slaughter of our enslaved people working on the warships that will inevitably gun you down being a major loss in the eyes of the empire.

It is nice to see where you stand, we have significant numbers and strength. I fear for the morals of those who call themselves freedom fighters whilst turning a blind eye for their own morality.

I wouldn’t have patronized you at all, if you had not invited it by not just telling about your own intentions, but implying that everyone who is not on board of this mission with you is “sitting and watching”.

Mind you, that was always the U’K way of doing PR, so you are well within tradition. But so am I, in calling you out on it.

Feel free to review my combat records, I have fought along side many different groups as well spending the majority of my time with the TLF, including being awarded a Stripes of Fury medal, and being there for the second time we took the warzone. My positions where I stand are very clear, feel free to ask anyone here.

Yours however…
Yes, suiciding a freighter full of our kin is truely a service for our people. I’m sure Nauplius would applaud you for your dedication to the cause.

Is it really that hard to understand that a full fleet supporting a slow moving ship towards gun emplacements, and a vastly larger fleet is a horrible idea? You. Will. Be. Chewed. Apart. I would say it’s a PR stunt like Elsebeth alluded to but it’s bordering on criminal negligence.

We all fight this war in our own way, the way we know best. Fighting is what I do, bringing the fight to the Amarrians and slavers is what I do for a living, I’m not going to stop that now, not when the stakes are so high and there are so many lives at risk.

So please, everyone, feel free to nit pick and poke holes, continue doing your own part to aid during these travesties - what ever that may be. Just know this, the Khan has never let these things slip without a response of force. We will fight what ever odds to save a single slave and we will not stop now! What ever it is you are doing to aid in these grim times, do it well and do it with all your heart and soul.

For us? Win or lose, Unity gives us strength, Unity fights the good fight and Unity brings death to the slaver scum.

Unity or death!

Don’t get me wrong, your dedication is admirable, your tactics, however are very suspect

Good grief, if they ever put that kind of strength of conviction and zeal into things that actually fuckin’ worked, we would be done by now.

This posturing is getting ridiculous.

Well, yes. The quote does not mean that it’s best to run around doing as much nonsense as possible as long as you look busy, but that what you actually accomplish means more than what you say about it and your motives.

I am slowly growing tired of the constant cowardice of capsuleers who want to do good but don’t dare.

“Oh no , don’t attack the big mean Amarr, you’l never make iiiiiiiiiit~”

Well why are you even bothering with any of this then? Do you really think it’s good enough to just save one or two slaves and let the slavers have the rest unchallenged? If so, please get out. Go move to the Federation. Start a research corp. Join ARC. Go do market things. Whatever. Just don’t fight if you’re not willing to fight when it matters.

But when there is a planet full of our people being slowly massacred, you’re content with a few freighters? What were you fighting for if you don’t think the Empire can be stopped? You mayaswell give up, ms Vess.

People seem to believe that armed force is pointless. Respectfully, if that is truly so, then we may aswell stop all resistance, because plainly we’ve already lost.

Make no mistake, our struggle has always been an armed one, and those who are only content to smuggle out the occasional industrial, while helpful, are never going to resolve this conflict permanently.

That is only going to come about with guns, and in that respect, events like these are an excellent test, both of character, and of strength.

If it is true that there is no way we can ever stand up to an empire like the Khanid, I’d rather test it and find out, because if that’s true there are a lot of things that need rethinking. I, at least, never got into this just to smuggle out the occasional slave. I am in this to liberate our people. All of them. If that isn’t possible, that’d be good to know.

But at least so far it seems that we are capable of fielding fleets, and we are capable of waging a war, and if it wern’t for Concord getting in the way, who knows where we would be by now? The Amarr and their Khanid pets have never been what anyone sane should be worried about. That’s a massive obstacle to be sure, but one that may be overcome.

We should have gotten a fleet into Kahah much sooner, that is my real objection. The Khanid have been free to commit untold atrocities while our kin stood by, too busy with the warzone to pay any attention to the suffering of the people they would call brothers and sisters. That is quite frankly unforgivable. Even if the fight may have been pointless, it is our duty and obligation to try.

Because if we can just sit by and let our people be slaughtered, how can we call ourselves any kind of freedom fighter?

I am extremely grateful for everyone who has lent their aid, their charity, their industrials. Hell, I’ve mostly piloted an industrial in Kahah myself. But in the end, industrials will not resolve this crisis. The only hope for that, however slim, lies in armed force. The Khanid are not going to listen to reason, after all, so the only hope we had of doing anything more then saving a minority lay in fleet action.

That option is sadly long gone, too much time has passed, but even so, it is a good thing to try. And those of you who would call themselves true freedom fighters would do well to stand with their people instead of standing on the sidelines, tutting like a spoiled holder and telling Chakaid he is a bad boy.

Excuse me, who said that in this thread? (I know a member of U’K said it on The Summit chan earlier today when I was speaking for escalation, but you can’t be referring to that here, certainly.)

With respect, you have no clue what I may or may not be doing. If anything was or wasn’t happening the only ones who would know would be who I work with, ones who hopefully wouldn’t reveal any details. The only difference is I don’t announce my moves for all to see, I could quite frankly give two ***** less if my name was known or not because I am not what’s important. What I do is what I feel is right for our people.

There was a time when subterfuge was a valid tactic for our people. Perhaps you should pick up a holodisk on the history of how we won our freedom, I’ll give you a hint, our forefathers didn’t broadcast their movements, they didn’t publicize their message for the masses, they kept their mouths shut and did what was right.
