Can you do something with station session changes to apply it on undock?
We were considering adding the ability to turn it on in the Agency window. Especially since we were also considering placing multiple boosters there and you choose which one you want to activate. Then itās completely up to you when you activate it and which bonus you get.
At this point, Iām just gathering feedback so we can discuss it. Itās a quick thing to remove the booster from a season.
This is a good reason to think twice before introducing the login boosters. It may push players to change their flow and do things in order they donāt want to do that way, or at least makes them feel uncomfortable not utilizing the bonus.
EDIT: just saw the comment above, yes, this is a compromise if you can decide if and when to activate the booster.
Would it still be one booster use per day? Or just one booster at a time?
One booster use per day, of the boosters in the login booster selection. Other boosters granted by the event would be on a separate slot.

Now you made me happy! These are very good ideas! I hope it will be changed so we could activate it when we want or if we want.
Itās always been in the plan, just not something we could get for the July event.
This is what I meant by that. You, the players, get control over when the booster is activated. Iām sorry I didnāt expand on the meaning of this statement earlier. Hopefully you can see my confusion over why you thought I was trying to shove the booster down your throat and why I really wanted to draw the conversation back to the reason you didnāt like it.
If you can forgive me for forcing boosters on you during the July event, Iāll try my hardest to get a ābooster buttonā for August. Sound good?
That was just a misunderstanding? Now I feel stupid for being so easily excited.
I dont only forgive you, I want to hug you.
I still think reducing the refresh countdown is the best way to get players to do more challenges. How is this so different from agents who issue missions right away?
i dislike daily challenges, because they are just limiting what you can do so you wont get too far compared to others. One of the greatest things about eve was that you could just āwork harderā and get more, instead of being pushed on a level with anyone logging in for 30 minutes, doing ādailiesā and disappearing.
For the July event, I am testing out the new daily challenges feature, but in the future there will be all sorts. We can set any cooldown value on the challenge, even 0 which makes it a repeatable challenge. Repeatable ones will make it back into the system, just not for July.
While you might see that we are just designing events, I am also trying to design better tools. This will help us make more events and create them faster.
Donāt get me wrong. I like to discuss the designs a lot. Weāve had a lot of discussions here about what works and what doesnāt. Iām not always right (1/10 times, maybe) and Iām willing to admit my mistakes and change the design. I just want a solid reason behind it that I completely understand AND that I believe understands what I was trying to accomplish as well. If you understand what I was trying to accomplish with my design and you still have objections, then I want to hear it. Every. Single. Time.
I liked how there was always something to do in the serpentis event. There were always challenges when I logged in and I could do it non stop when I had time. Some people dont have much time in the week, but they have many hours free in the weekend. I think reducing available missions (or challenges as you call it now) can limit what people can achieve when they not log in daily.
I also meet some people that work outside home for a week and they can log into eve only few days in the weekend.
I have no clear idea what youāre trying to accomplish unless you say it, @CCP_Dragon and youāre coming off as really childish right now.
I am a child at heart.
But what I was trying to say is that Iām wrong more often than Iām right. And I donāt shy away from discussions about my work. It hurts when people tear it down, but as long as weāre being critical in good ways, I am okay with admitting my mistakes.
True, but we can (and do) always infer. And part of all of this is that I would like my designs to show what Iām trying to accomplish without having to directly say so. When there is a disconnect between how you feel about something and what I thought it would convey, then I need to change it. It is my fault, not yours.
It seems that some people feel the login booster is trying to make players log in. Thatās not what I meant from it, so Iāve made some mistakes on how we present it and how people use it. I want a ācall to actionā that makes people want to undock. Unfortunately the login booster feels manipulative and forces action rather than allowing it to occur naturally. Therefore I must change it or remove it.
This is a great point because I donāt want them to feel left behind either.
I knew Iād seen something about this somewhere!
I was just on Sisi and I was wondering where all the previous announcements about The Agency had gone. I was talking to people in chat earlier on Tranquility about āthe July eventā and no-one had a clue what I was talking about.
Iām one of the super lucky ones who managed to get a PLEX from that event.
@Nana_Skalski: Please stop whining. CCP Dragon asked for constructive criticism and you spent most of this thread just WHINING. I think you need to log off and unplug for a while, go outside and get some perspective.
Ok, ok! I stopped whining already.
Thanks for your comment! Iāve now added the number of items youāre getting to the mouse hint!
You are always welcome.
itās way better this happens with one or two people in testing before going live lol. Iām not saying any of us is a saint either.
